British sparring stories

I read about that in Hide's Autobiography. His version, for what it's worth, was that he was knocked down and got back up and beat him but apparently they have put it in the past now.

I think what seemed to upset Hide is Danny talking about it at a press conference and giving what he claims is a false account of it.

I watched Alex Arthur school former world lightweight champion Nate Campbell at Wildcard in Los Angeles back in 2003.

He schooled every other fighter Freddie Roach put him in with. Alex had travelled over to train for a few weeks not long after his defeat to Michael Gomez.

 

Heard Luis Garcia beat up froch in sparring when he was training for Pascal.

 

Lamon Brewster it is said flattened Lewis in sparring, late in Lennox's career.

 

how come we pnly ever hear about good fighters being schooled and mediocre ones doing well.

 

i know this to be true roach even accepted it and was asking who heffron was

 

Because that is a story. For instance Lennox Lewis flooring for arguments sake, Al Evans, is a big so what? It is expected, people remember the unexpected...

 

John Ryder dropped Kell Brook in MARCH in the lead up to the alexander fight that didn't happen.

 

First I've heard of that one.

To be fair, he is 2 weight divisions up from Kell and a fighter I very much rate.

Can believe the Heffron one. Have seen get battered a few times in sparring because he just goes to war with everyone he fights.

 

Everyone knows that the only person who got dropped was price
