You might want to start another thread on that one:blood
As for Randy i do believe his slightly overrated. But the facts remain he had an unprecedented comeback.beat some great names like Horn Randleman a prime Rizzo Ortiz Belfort and Chuck Liddell. His win/loss resume isnt that great to look at in terms of the numbers.BUT he was the face of the UFC from the early days, won the heavy and light heavy title more than once and has faced some of the best names in the UFC over a 10 year span. That has to count for something.

I know he wont beat Fedor. But hey thats the bout everyone else wants to see..:verysad

Are you implying Chuck isn't good? He's probably the greatest LHW ever. And I don't know how you can compare Chuck and Fedor, Fedor does not have 1 punch knockout power like Chuck so the dynamics of the fight will be completley different.
Chuck walks around at 225-230lbs so is practically the same size as Fedor.

Quinton has Chucks number, but Chuck owned Tito and just beat Silva, not to mention Liddell has fought and defeated better fighters than Wanderlei.

Over all, Chuck has beaten far better fighters than Tito.
In terms of the big 3 at lhw its:

    1. Chuck
    2. Randy
    3. Tito

Crazy. Liddell has beaten far better competition than Wanderlei.
The rankings for lhw are pretty difficult but heres mine.

    1. Chuck
    2. Wanderlei
    3. Jackson
    4. Randy
    5. Tito

Agreed with that list. The top 3 are all tough to rank, because you have Chuck>Wandy>Ramapge>Chuck as far as head to head. Chuck has the longer streak beating top guys, and has been far more dominant in the level of competition he faces and his victories. Wandy is solid, but has a steady string of cans in his diet and struggled with Arona.

So? Wanderlei lost to Tito in the UFC went to Pride and with the exception of Rampage and Henderson beat, lets be honest, not the greatest competition.
    Especially not compared to Chuck.

    Lets look at their wins.

    Chuck:
    Wanderlei
    Tito (x2)
    Randy (x2)
    Randleman
    Monson
    Mezger
    Bustamante
    Belfort
    Sobral (x2)
    Overeem

    Wanderlei:
    Rampage (x2)
    Henderson
    Mezger
    Arona (Dodgy)
    Nakamura

Theres no doubt, in my mind who has faced and defeated the better competition.

What about Fujita Nakumura Sakuraba x2 and Eugene Jackson? Your bias is so obvious in all your posts. I too think Liddell has a ridiculously deep resume but lets at least be subjective.

Oh he only held the PRIDE title for 7 years and went on a 18-0 run whilst fighting some HOF fame fighters in the process. Not much of a claim really.

Well Sakuraba is a natural 185lb (maybe less) And he didn't put on weight to fight Wanderlei at lhw, he walked into the ring at 185 and under. He was much lighter and smaller than Wanderlei. By at least 20lbs.
Fujita? I'm not sure I would include him as a great win, his claim to fame is wobbling Fedor and then getting choked unconcious 3 minutes later.

Nakamura's alright but he certainly doesn't rank up their with Chucks best wins but I'll include him in Wands resume.
I still think Liddell has a better resume. (along with the fact he actually defeated Wanderlei himself!)

I also rank Chuck higher all time than Wanderlei at Light Heavy.

It does get a bit hard to rank though when you consider that Chuck lost twice to Rampage who lost twice to Silva. Overall I'd have to say Chuck has the better resumé.

    1. Chuck Liddell
    2. Randy Couture
    3. Wanderlei Silva
    4. Quinton Jackson
    5. Tito Ortiz

    IMO anyway.
