I think what you need to realise is when people post **** about a fighter they don't like.......it's not really deep hate, they ain't really really mad......they just don't like him......post some abuse then carry on with their day......no big deal Why do fanboys / haters / whatever seem to care more about other posters than the sport itself ??? Always makes me laugh
There has to be some middle ground when judging a 25 year old fighter, doesn't it? Terrance Crawford is 2 years older, but I don't see anyone using him not being a potential ATG as a knock on him. So just curious, but why is ATG the standard for Broner?
I just feel Broner is trying to elevate himself into company he doesn't belong in. I don't see Crawford running off at the mouth like Broner does, and certainly doesn't say anything as ridiculous as "When Mayweather is gone, I'm going to take over the sport." I guess part of it comes from the fact that Broner is talented, and people feel like he should shut his mouth, and focus more on maximizing that talent. If you're going to act like an arrogant clown, you better be able to back it up. Broner got absolutely ***** stomped by Maidana, and it's clear he didn't learn a lesson in humility yet. Sorry, but that just irks me. Shows an inability to learn from past mistakes, and an outright blind arrogance to not find fault in your own actions or attitude that should be corrected/improved. There would be no "ATG standard" held on Adrien if it wasn't for his own mouth trying to put himself in that company. EDIT - And I would add, it was his **** attitude and persona, and his inability to back it up, that got all that stuff thrown on him as he left the arena after the Maidana fight. Broner SHOULD feel embarrassed, but instead, he continues on with the clown act. Nobody will respect him. Those were "haha you arrogant F-****" drinks being thrown at him. Any normal person would do some serious soul searching after that experience.
It's not about hate he fought someone coming off 2 losses who isn't rated in top 15 by any of the sanctioning bodies. Before that he fought Taylor who was already beaten by Algeiri 2 fights before and Carlos Molina also coming off a loss. He needs to step up in comp if he wants more respect. He brags and calls himself the best but fights below elite level.

This! His recent comp doesn't support his statements. The best fighter he has fought has been Maidana and while a good fighter he isn't great. Since then he has fought Carlos Molina coming off a loss, Taylor coming off a loss 2 fights before and Molina Jr. coming off 2 losses... Yea real still competition.
There is marketing, and then there is going over the top like Broner does. There is a big difference. Fact is, the man isn't intelligent enough to pull off the act. He has a limited vocabulary and lacks charisma. And I'm not charged up at all about it. I just have an opinion. And my opinion is Broner isn't as good as he thinks he is, and his attitude will make people cheer to see his ass kicked. Some of you are offended because of what he says about Mexicans. Some of you just don't like him period. You have thst right. Broner may or may not be as good as he says he is, but he's willing to move up and fight the best. He's 25 and has a lot of fight Left in him. He looked good last night and he took Molinas clean right hand which many of you thought was capable of taking him out. He took the fight out of Molina. Broner stands right in front of you. Broner doesn't run. He will take punches as his style allows him too but he does come to fight. My criticism is he lacks a variety of different kinds of punches, and he doesn't parry and counter. Some of you guys posts ARE filled with hate and bias. Most of you are talking about his attitude more than his skill. Be a fan. You can criticize without out going overboard and being fake lol.
Broner's personality represents a segment of society that is complete scum, but as a boxer - he is better than most people realize. But I hate him because he is ghetto fabulous.
Broner is good, but nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Also, he didn't show Maidana the respect he deserves and got taught a lesson, but whether he learned from it is another thing, the problem with Broner is he probably didn't.
