I'll be delighted if the bookies see this as a 50-50. I don't see Burns movement being that big of a deal for Broner, boxing is all about opinions and its great that this has divided the forum. I don't see Frank wanting any part of Broner, not when he can sell fights in Scotland against weak opposition.
You never know. He threw Cleverly onto an undercard on Showtime to fish for B-Hop. I don't think HBO will have a long list of guys they want Broner to fight next. Abril and Vasquez are up there in the rankings but they aren't known for making exciting fights.
Exactly.Some of us were following Ricky long before Martinez and that's why many of us are able to keep a lid on judging Ricky and give credit where it's due along with restraint where necessary. Broner was superb last night,but let's remember that most of us have hit heavy bags with better movement than DeMarco.That's not to say for a second Ricky wins but it's a totally different fight. Three weeks ago,the vast mahority on here were saying Vasquez was #1.Now a poor performance from him,a bad opponent(now pulled) for Ricky and a very good performance by Broner means that everyone else are now nonentities who aren't worthy of sharing a ring with Broner. Burns beats Vasquez,Abril beats Demarco,Vasquez beats Abril,Burns could well beat Demarco,Abril would give Ricky problems and Broner could well beat them all. But I knew that on Friday night.Nothing's changed.

Because Broner has lost a battle of the jabs before, from lesser jabbers than Burns, Broners jab is nothing but a range finder, you also severly overestimate his reflexes, Broner has been tagged easily by guys who dont telegraph their shots like De Marco does. What toolbox does Broner have? beating a fighter on the inside when said fighter doesn't fight on the inside yet just sit and rests his chin on Broners left shoulder, asking for uppercut, after uppercut, after uppercut, after uppercut, after uppercut etc etc. Broner is "advanced"? since when? also, you mention Martinez, you know Martinez was the inside scrapper, and Burns apparently has no inside game...Yet Burns schooled Martinez on the inside with...uppercuts.. his last two opponents? are you including the Katisidis victim Escobedo in there? the same Escobedo who was woefully undersized and unfairly matched in his fight with Broner? How fickle fans can be one fight after another , ok please get this fight in to perspective Demarco fought a shite fight he did everything wrong he gave Broner everything he could wish for. and stood in front of him and brawled, Demarco did not use his brain. If Demarco had fought like that against burns he`d have got beaten. Would burns stand right in front of Broner and stick his chin out??? NOO!!! He would box and use all his advantages too the full and try to frustrate Broner.
No I think Ricky will give a good account of himself before Broner takes over and takes him out late.
