As long as he fights good quality opponents, what's the problem? It's not like he is obliged to fight a big hitter every fight, he has faced a few of those before. Whilst Broner isn't a P4P talent, he is pretty good. And keep in mind that Broner has fought only one less fight at Welterweight than Khan.
Terrible style match-up for Broner. If Malignaggi had so much success, Khan will box his way easily to a UD, should of stayed at LW/LWW.
downside is that this fight wont happen till next year now that khan ducked him for june. cant fight in football stadium in the winter.
they could do Wembley with a roof couldn't they? the trouble with waiting is one loss, (with khans chin its always possible) or one injury and the fights derailed yet again. If brook fights a few bums or loses his belt, the fight will also lose a lot of its attraction move forward 12 months AJ could be fighting fury for a HW title for instance, euro 2016 will be on, Olympics will be happening, other sports will get casuals interest which will stop the fight being as big as it could be if it happened this June.
Khan vs Maidana 2 would be great, almsot too good to ever be true though. We shall get Borner or Algieri.
If he fought and beat maidana convincingly Id say that puts him ahead of brook/thurman, if it's an algeri/broner then he goes back
But he beat a green maidana. The Maidana that kahn beat is not the same Maidana under Garcia. Maidana would ruin kahn for good if they fought again and his camp knows that.
Broner is sort of a name and algieri just lost to pac so although not a houshold name he is not forgoten yet, but think of this Alexander would imo beat both easy ud 12 so for me it is a backward step for khan
Only thing is I've heard maidana is pretty fat at the moment though so wouldn't be possible for a while
What the hell does a green Maidana even mean? It's gotta be one of the stupidest statements used by boxing posters - just to discredit a boxer. The guy was 27 years old and has faced Kotelnik and Ortiz by then!
