Brook in amazing shape

Think he's got better skills than Alexander.That's not saying much though.

 

Audley Harrison was in fantastic shape against David Price and also against David Haye.

As was David Haye against Wladimir Klitschko. :good

Just because a fighter is in great shape, or the best shape of their life, it doesnt mean they are going to automatically win the fight, and after seeing Brook in a previous fight against Carson Jones, Brook himself admitted preparation was terrible and they didnt give it 100%. Which led to Eddie Hearn questioning whether or not his own fighter "wants it"

He didnt prepare himself, not just physically, but mentally for that fight and it showed IN the fight, he very nearly gave it away DURING the fight.

There is nothing to say that he wont mentally choke again during the fight against Alexander. Considering the size of the fight, location and it being the first real big fight for Brook, and looking at Alexander's experience and resume, Kell Brook being in shape should be taken with a pinch of salt. And who's to say that Devon Alexander isnt in great shape either?

Fights aren't won by how in shape you look, fights are won inside the ring. And we have already seen Kell Brook crumble mentally against an opponent who everyone thought he would breeze before the fight.

Well done Kell! You've done something you SHOULD be doing as a professional fighter, now lets see what you can do inside the RING. Show the world how good you claim you are on the big stage.

Alexander doesn't exactly have a beet belly.

The best Kell Brook beats an averge DA.
The best Devon Alexander beats an average KB.

This fight all comes down to who brings it on the 23rd.

 

I agree. I honestly think Brook can win if its the A-game he brings, but he'll need a bit extra considering who it is and where its at. He aint just fighting Devon Alexander he is fighting 2 fights. The judges.

The US crowd will try and influence a US win. Judges ARE swayed by that ****. We've seen it a million times. And will see it a million more.

If Brook wants to win this fight, he should end it before it goes to any points. Timing beats speed, Alexander moves A LOT, if Brook is at it, he can stop Alexander in his tracks.

But personally, I can see Alexander doing a Bailey, fighting a boring super conservative cautious fight to take the W on points.

I hope I'm wrong, I'd like to see Brook win this fight but I dont think he punches with enough volume.

TBH i don't even know if Ward's even seen Brook fight he kinda claimed he studies fights yet he's asking for reasons and claiming this is Brook's first big show. It's his first world class test i agree but Brook's had some nice shows to develop on as a headline.

Got to be honest, I've always found Brook pretty tedious. The only "boring" thing about Ward is that he so completely dominates his opponents so that it's not competitive.

Listen, people be saying this for ages bout Brook, just because a fighter says something, doesnt mean that **** is new and relevant cause they said so. I mean Andre only on social zombiedia winding up UK boxing fans, because he cant sell ****, is a nobody, but a very very good boxer. If you want to unlock the key for this fight, look at who Alexander been in with and then look at Kell Brook's list. Its in another league. Alexander been in with better, beat better fighters. Been fighting at a higher level for a lot longer, this is Brook's first step and first true test, he aint fought anyone of the calibre of Alexander's opponents.

Carson Jones nearly ended the journey prematurely. Luckily Brook pulled through by the skin of his teeth, and got a warning. But people were saying Carson Jones was a bum and Brook would destroy him before the fight, and it never happened!!! And out come all the excuses from the Brook camp to cover over the cracks, to cover up the fact Kell Brook showed mental weakness and fragility during a fight, Brook's nose got busted and he didnt want anymore!

A broken nose for a fighter aint good, we understand that, but my word, Kell Brook is going on like he is special, like this is his time, "the next big thing" all that......are we forgetting this same fighter nearly never even got this "arrival" fight, had Carson Jones pulled out the victory that night?

Alexander is gonna frustrate Kell Brook like ****. To Alexander and his team, Kell Brook is just another Randall Bailey, one dimensional with not enough output or pressure. Yes Brook has crisp punches and timing, but Alexander don't play that game, Alexander is like a fly you cant catch and really pisses you of, in and out, in and out, side to side. He destroys you with movement. If Brook wants to stop that, he better catch him with one of the best timed punches he has ever threw as a boxer.

If not, and he is made to miss all night. Kell Brook will grow frustrated and start throwing it away 6 rounds onwards. Brook dont throw enough volume to neutralize the movement of Alexander. Brook tries to throw perfectly executed punches 100% of the time, Brook throws crisp punches, but slow punches and only ever digs to the body with a straight and occasionally when coming in to exchange with a jab to the body, he tries to finish combo's by stepping out with a jab.

Easy work for Alexander and the power people in the US know it. + He was already in there with an Ingle fighter before - Junior Witter, who gave up, showed a lack of mental toughness. Couldn't catch Devon like he thought he would be able to before the fight, ultimately gave up.

If Kell Brook wins this fight, he stops Devon Alexander. But I cant see a stoppage. I'd like Kell to win the fight. But....
