Neither does brook, but Khan is embarrassingly trying to force a fight with mayweather or pacquaio when he doesn't deserve one

If Brook wants to squeeze a fight in within 7 weeks, before a bigger one in the summer, Gavin is in the top15 and available.

Khan is also available but won't fight him and you won't admit that he has ducked Bradley as well.

 

Seriously, brook is my favourite fighter and has been for a while.
But if he faces gavin, the hate i will have for eddie hearn will be undescribable.

 

I'm big Kell fan but I don't want to see him face Gavin, especially as a voluntary. Its pretty nailed on that Kell would beat Gavin so think Frankie would be better to position himself and get a mandatory shot.

I'm not convinced Bradley would be as up for an eliminator with Gavin as much as he would be with Khan (For no other reason than its not a big fight for Tim) so Frankie could end up fighting someone else from further down the rankings.

Kell could fight someone like Rios this summer, maybe with Gavin in an eliminator on the undercard and then take his mandatory in the Autum. Then maybe even fight again before Christmas. June / Sept / Dec would make a decent schedule.

I just, at the risk of sounding like Khan, don't think Gavin has earned a shot.

 

the gavin fight makes a bit of sense if Brook is still having a "big summer fight" The gavin fight will just be like an added bonus and will "stack" Eddies May 30th card that little bit more

Brook beat Porter in the US and that alone is better than anything Khan has done at Welterweight. Khan is a welterweight now, what he done at Light Welterweight has to be forgotten for the time being. Well if you don't want to forget then the last thing he did at LWW was get smashed to pieces by Danny Garcia.

Frankie Gavin is a fleshy unconditioned mess who is never a genuine welter in his life , is he was dedicated and strict enough he would be a 135/140 doing far better than he is now , he nowhere near warrants any sort of world title eliminator shot as he fell short at european level imo he needs to conquer that issue first and tbh also i had bradley skeete beating him when they fought
