I have been following brooks career now which seems like an eternity I think he is special but this fight is really hard especially in america, if he pulls it off we will have a genuine world class fighter because also think porter is a great prospect, i think he can do it though , but his level of opposition is a worry, however on boxing skills alone he should do it its just whether he can get through the first few rounds, if he does this i think a few doubts will creep into porter. if I had to bet I would say porter on points but I really hope im wrong
I too think brook is very gifted. Very hard to predict this fight ....porter is kind of hard to quantify....very unconventional boxer. Fitness and toughness will be important in this fight.
I want brook to win but think porter will. Porter beat paulie and alexander both of whom have good records and have fought some of the best out there. Brook on the other hand has never beat anyone good. Now not only is he facing a huge leap in opponent he also has to do it in the us against a guy who with a good win is right in there in the mix to fight floyd for a career high payday.
Not sure why people use Paulie as a reason for Poter to win. Good win over a tuff aging fighter who he matches up against but the more impressive win is Alexander. Porter struggled with Diaz - who then gave Khan trouble... So not as much of an issue as some have thought Kell still hasn't been really tested that last Mexican he fought he was a level above of and fought a comfortable pace but he still took a few shots but Porter is fast athletic and more powerful and im not sure Brook will be able to get the time to set himself for his shots. He struggled with Jones. Porter is a similar animal. I still think Porter will win
