“We’ve got a purse bids date tomorrow (February 7) but we’ve asked for a week’s extension from the IBF because I feel we’re very close to making a deal,” Hearn told Boxing News

Could be i guess but in sure both eddie and al haymon would have to confirm to the ibf they are close to a deal. Im sure hearn cant just contact the ibf and say can we have a week extension without confirmation from spences team

I honestly didn't think Brook would sign up for this fight. Too high of a risk for way too low of a reward. Actually, since the fight will be held in the U.K., Brook probably stands to make a good deal of money from this fight.

Still, this is a very dangerous fight for Brook. Props to him for avoiding the path of least resistance.

If Brook beats Spence on a UK PPV would that make him a bigger name than Khan ( which is khans main argument for a bigger split )

Khan hasnt fought UK time for years
Most of my casual fan mates residobg memory of khan is laughing when he got knocked out by Prescott

All i can say is if khan came and fought in the uk he would not be on ppv for a fight agaisnt spence. Nobody is interested in khan, the only fight people want is brook v khan. Brook and khans names go together in the uk, if you know one you know both. Khan is a bigger name in america though obviously.. if brook beats spence the fight has to be 50/50 he is champion and will of beaten 2 of the top welterweights out there in spence and porter

I'll eat crow for being wrong on Brook fighting Spence, but I'm not going to give him credit. I don't know why I said I would, it's his mandatory, and Brook is the king of mandos. I was wrong about Brook vacating though.

Inb4 the little g nut huggers start making excuses about how Brook is going to be drained, or excuses about his eye. They credit GGG for beating a guy 2 divisions below but wont credit Spence afte rhe destroys Brook.

Brook is the king of mandos so doesn't gain your respect?

Well how do you feel about the king of the voluntaries in your avatar?

That's not what I said. I'm saying I'm not going to give him credit for not ducking someone.
Also it's not Wilder's fault that Povetkin did not enforce his mando and decided to fight Wach and ended up getting cut. Then he tested positive twice. I bet you're one of the morons that thought Wilder would lose the lawsuit LMFAO.

To my knowledge Povetkin has only ever failed 1 test and the WBC cleared him of the Wilder test.

You know what Wilder doesn't gain the respect of true boxing fans because 1 top 10 fighter in 37 fights LOL.

Yes, that's why Povetkin lost the lawsuit :risas3:. The facts are the reason Wilder hasn't fought mandatories is because Povetkin delayed it, then got caught on PEDS causing a huge mess with the WBC. It's on the WBC to appoint him a new mandatory either way, not Wilder. Good try though.

There is much better opposition out there than the AmeriCans that Wilder has faced.

    Also yes or no question.

    Did the WBC clear Povetkin?

    Yes or no question.

    Did Povetkin lose the lawsuit?

Also if the WBC cleared Povetkin, and didnt threaten to strip Wilder if he didn't fight Povetkin, that's on them, not him. But the wbc did not clear him, WADA did.

So to answer your question, no. Are you going to answer mine now?
