This. A fight with Khan should never be on PPV. Khan isn't an 'elite' boxer and Brook has done nothing of note. The worrying sign from Hearn's last interview, is that he doesn't seem to have much confidence in Kell. Kell won't learn anything from fighting Jones again, and if he's a fighter that relies heavily on confidence, then fighting him will do nothing for his confidence when he steps up to world level.
The dynamic has shifted in Eddie's stable recently. Brook was the star at first, then Froch came, then Barker, then Bellew, then Groves, then Burns, then Haye, then even Luke Campbell. He is a B level star in Hearn's stable now. Eddie might see him as a chief support type rather than long term headliner. It took a lot of effort to shift 7/8000 tickets at the Motorpoint.
brook will stop diaz and make khan look absolute **** or very average, one thing though brook is moving way to slow, time waits for no man
See the word 'might'. That post was more of how I see him to be honest. A Diaz fight in the same arena as Khan/Diaz will definitely help sales. Its a quirk but may work. For him to become a proper ticket seller he needed to push on this year not have the same ranking he had in 2010. But hey ho, **** happens.
Carson Jones 2 then Senchenko or Zaveck Its 9 months until the IBF will give Kell another mandatory shot, he needs to build on his improved conditioning & face 2 decent opponents.
I wouldn't say a busted nose is a rare injury in the ring. Can you give examples were other fighters have totally gassed like did Brook because of it? Now examples were one guy gasses after being continually put under pressure are a dime a dozen. This is why I believe this fight has value.
Its irreverent what Hearn has said about "No more warm up fights, World title fight in 2013 100%". He is a promoter. He says those things. Fact is Brook is still not ready for a world title fight so he still needs learning fights. Jones II & Diaz would teach him things. Its sad...but true.
Why is everyone going mad? I want to see both those fights. Personally I'm glad to be hearing Brook is likely to be fighting twice by September, I thought he was out for the year.
People moaning about these fights and then saying he should fight SENCHENKO? Because he beat Ricky Hatton, WOW what a win. He got his ass handed to him by Paulie Malignaggi. Make your minds up, either he should be fighting a guy just to prove he can do a better job than his British rival or he shouldn't? By fighting Senchenko, just because he is marketable to the casual fan because of the Hatton fight...wouldn't he be doing exactly the same thing as which you are slagging him off? (trying to prove he can do a better job on Diaz than Khan)
But his british rival was criticised for fighting a "lightweight". At least Senchenko is a welterweight and would still be a step up from Hector Saldivia
