Frank Buglioni says in a interview with Kugan Cassius 1 hour after his fight he has proven to be world class. I am astounded someone close to him has not told him straight he is not even British Class.
moog, you are a harsh man I can picture it now, the dressing room is hushed, almost silent, just the sounds of the odd whisper. Buglioni is sitting in a chair, swollen, bruised and has just taken a beating. Poor Frank looks around looking for some words of comfort and then moog walks in, sits opposite Frank, puts a hand on his shoulder then looks him straight in the eyes and says... "You're not even British level son...."
No way he is world class but I think he has it in him to compete at European level. In my opinion Chudinov isn't even world class and I think he would get dominated by anyone in the top 10, him vs Paul Smith would actually be a very good fight in my opinion.
Also, when called upon Froch could box on rare occasion. (see: Abraham) Hard to envision Buglioni pulling off a performance like that.
Buglioni has great heart and can take a punch but that alone does not make you European class let alone World class. There are plenty of journeymen out there who can boast great chins and lots of heart (not saying Buglioni is a journeyman but he is only a level up from that). Lee Markham in most peoples eyes beat him.
Since when does he have a great chin? Because he managed to survive for once without getting stuck on his backside? Prior to this fight he was on wobbly knees in pretty much every fight without fail.
If the boxer himself can't have confidence in his own ability then who the hell can? Regardless of how good Buglioni us - how many boxers out there go around telling everybody how **** they are?
