I'm just glad that Jacobs has been ordered to fight GGG and the very fact they're in negotiations is great news as it means Jacobs is serious about the fight.

Is it pay per view worthy?hell I don't know but it's a fight where the fans would get there money's worth,Canelo v Smith wasn't a bad fight but the result was never in doubt against a guy that even British boxing fans like myself had no clue who he was?

Keith Thurman should be applauded for his views about pay per views,he and Porter gave us an epic fight for free and the public voted by watching it in their millions.

im sorry I can't remember where he said it but it would probably be in the run up to the porter fight,I think he even said his next fights would be free as well,I had my doubts about Thurman but after the Porter fight I'll never doubt him again.

 

Ok CST80 I've been waiting for you to reply on a thread about Jacobs v GGG,what do you think happens with those two and does Jacobs have a genuine chance to beat Golovkin either by KO or points?

 

I like this fight but I don't see Danny having much of a chance. This will look like Canelo and Smith.

Interesting break down of Jacobs n Golovkin,I only seen the Mora 2 fight last night and Jacobs was just walking his man down but for some reason that I couldn't put my finger on Jacobs never looked like he was boxing,I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was doing exactly what Golovkin was against Brook.

I've read a good few posts about Golovkin looking poor against Brook but I don't think they give GGG credit,he's a real smart operator in my book and knows when to Box purely and when to scrap,he knew the scorecards would likely favour Brook on his home turf and so in my view he wanted Brook outta there,give Brook credit though cause how many would of survived that first round and still chose to go toe to toe with GGG and win a round or two in the process,before that I can't remember anyone winning a round against Golovkin.
If Brook recovers well and gets the fights at either Welter or Junior Middleweight he has winnable fights against all comers including Canelo I reckon.

If like you say he reverts to the force that beat Lemieux,jabathon city,then it could be a slow death for Jacobs until it's stopped or retires,instead of being cautious for a few rounds I do think Jacobs would be best trying to repeat what he did to quillen,risky but maybe it's worth it to get GGG outta there?

Problem I see Jacobs having is he will be tentative and end up on the ropes to scared to throw worrying about what will come back.
