am i **** gonna pay 10 sterling to watch a stream with 40,000 others when on my site about 500 might be watching and the quality is as clear as that bottle of vodka i drank last night

sorry carl but you can starve until fat mick sorts that **** out, its not the fans fault "people were asking for too much" quote bunce and its not on tv, its a bloody disgrace and to ask for 10 pounds when no one knows how good the quality will be is a joke

To be really into boxing and understand whats going on with the fighters, belts, why the top guys didn't fight each other etc you have to be an obsessive (like most of us are) but with the UFC you can watch 13 shows a year and be pretty clued up on whats going on with minimal effort, you can follow the same fighters working their way up and getting their shots if they are good enough.

Boxings a far more intersting sport to immerse yourself in but if your looking for something to casually fill a bit of time then the UFC takes some beating.

  5. UFC sucks

I don't care what anyone says.... that redneck WWE for adults will never be anywhere near boxing

The stand up stuff is decent but once they go to the ground...

I've tried to give UFC/MMA a chance but it just doesn't appeal to me but MMA is gaining a lot more fans than boxing is atm.

You do have to be pretty obsessed to keep up with boxing .

With the UFC it's all 'under one roof' so to speak and it's pretty easy to follow. Boxing is one complicated sport but I love it :yep. Balls to MMA (which is a bit odd coming from me as younger people like me are stereotypically meant to watch MMA/UFC and follow it).

This may sound like a bit of shamless self publicity but I work for a pretty successful tv production company and I feel I have to let people know they are available and keen to help out on this if people are interested.

The company I work for recently did the webcast for Crufts after the BBC droped it. They did the whole lot, production, filming, commentary, encoding and streaming, the whole nine yards! The webcast proved to be a huge success (if you like to watch dogs). They also do a monthly Poker webcast for one of the major broadcasters. This is high end stuff and it works (sometimes getting more viewers than terrestrial tv shows). In my mind, it is the way things are going to go.

I would be happy to put anyone in touch with the relevant people in my company to help get something started. I know for a fact that my bosses would be very keen to deliver boxing shows over the web.

Feel free to PM me and I will pass on contact details for a company that has a solid track record on this.

Not that im being difficult but why didnt your " tv company" show crufts on TV. (that is of course if they have an actual channel)

Crufts is a bit of a dying breed imo (no pun intended lol) and I doubt boxing would ever become a priority on such a channel

Just to clarify, I wasn't suggesting that boxing be shown on Crufts tv. I was merely pointing out that when Crufts lost it's tv deal, it moved itself to the web and it proved to be a reletively successful alternative when tv coverage isn't available. It is just an example of how it can be done

I am just a lowly editor who works for Tinopolis, the compny behind the crufts production and a link to that company (Tinopolis) can be found at the bottom of this page if anyone wants to contact them : http://www.cruftslive.tv/

They also do the filming and streaming work behind this site: http://www.pokerstars.com/

I recommend promoters give them a call if they are looking to go down this route in the future. I for one would love to work on this kind of thing.
