I can believe it as well HMS, Im in no doubt about Billy's training methods and his quality as a trainer and I do want Ricky to do the best he can, Scotland/England I don't give a **** about all that, I just wish Billy was honest and stop talking down to people just because we ain't boxing trainers like he is?

 

Good fight but the move up does seem rather convenient.

I agree, Its a very low number of the poster's on here are decent, Lirva and co alway's pop up and that ruin's it, but for the decent posters and boxing fan's we are tied under the same brush and get abuse, that's not fair

I know a lot of us were cynical when it was reported that he would be moving up in weight and wouldn't fight Broner but he's taking on a proper opponent in his first fight at 135.

 

Only matters to me on the level that many will tout the winner as a world champion whichever belt it is, and that will have a more solid ring to it if it is the full title than if the interim. So I phrased my post poorly, I will be supporting Ricky equally against Katsidis even if there were no belt whatsoever, but if there is to be a title I hope that it is the full one as one belt per division is just about workable, these days. The interims seem to be gaining more prominence in promoters' rhetoric, and I think that that further cheapens the existing belts, so is a bad thing. So if it must be for a world belt I would rather it be the main one, rather than an interim. I'd rather no title than interim, as an interim title is pretty meaningless yet promoters waffle on about them. But I take your point, and I used a clumy shorthand so as not to clutter the thread... which I have now done. Oops. But you did ask!
