Some people just don't know **** about boxing talent. :verysad

Bute has really slick boxing skills and is excellent on both offense and defense.

Exactly. It was an exciting victory, but he beat a man who he thoroughly dominated in their previous fight(until the end, of course). A man who himself is no more than a fringe contender.

Ward beat the consensus #1 SMW, and made it look easy. A fight where he was the huge underdog.

    The victories aren't even comparable.

He beat the man and has become the man. Not only is Ward's win bigger it is WAY bigger and it was done in impressive fashion. The Bute win, while good, isnt even really with a top 10 guy at SMW..maybe Andrade is around 10ish.

QFT, but I dont wanna dismantle the Bute win too much the guy was impressive tonight and I really like his style. Here is to hoping we can see a Ward/Bute fight!

Of course Andrade is top ten. He knocked out one of the current beltholders.

Exactly. Still, kudos to Bute for his thundering lefts for a first knockdown on the chin, then finish to body, which wasn't worked at al.

Andrade is a firm top 10 at 168. Bute beating him comes no where close to what Ward did to Kessler, but he's got a good run of wins under his belt and that's why i'd edge him over Ward right now. If/when Ward beats Taylor in a similar manner to the Kessler win then he'd deserve top spot again.

I agree with this, but it was a great win but I think at this point Ward beating Kessler and Froch wins over Dirrell (even tho I didnt agree with it), Pascal, and Taylor are more impressive anyway you slice it. Even Kessler wins over Mudine, Beyer, and Andrande are more impressive. If Bute cannot enter the tournament he probably should seek a fight with Green next or pursue Dawson at a catchweight even though thats unlikley

No way Abraham beats Bute. He only has a puncher's chance.

Sorry, Ward has shown much greater handspeed, reflexes, and boxing skill than Bute. Let's not even talk about what would happen if Abraham lands a straight right on Bute's chin

I did not need to see Bute/Andrade II in order to proclaim Bute as #1 in his division. Anyone who can actually understand a boxing match could see it immediately after watching the 6 fighters in the Sauerland tournament.

    Maybe.

Still - one fight isn't enough.

But if you go by "the man who beat the man" you can make a claim..

In which case the ranking would be:

    1. Ward
    2. Bute
    3. Kessler
    4. Froch
    5. AA
    6. Dirrell

But, if some consistency is required then..

    1. Bute
    2. Ward
    3. Kessler
    4. Froch
    5. AA
    6. Dirrell

Ballsy statement noob. I dont agree with you at all. I would favor AA at this point. He is better at everything than Andrade and even has a better chin. AA I would pick to knock Bute out late.

Wow, some of you are really hard to convince. Andrade a fringe contender? He was ranked #5 by The Ring and #6 by ESPN.com before this fight and Bute just took him out cleanly, which nobody (not even Kessler) had done before.
