Because he wanted a rematch with Andrade. If he would of gone ahead with the Froch fight people would of still hated calling him a coward for ducking Andrade. So whatever the man does people still hate.. Why did Froch duck Bute a few years back then ?
Quite the intelligent one, aren't you? You said that everyone in the Super Six, except Taylor, beats Bute. Can you be a little more specific about what everyone in the Super Six brings that Bute can't deal with? I'm open for discussion, even believing that a fight against Ward is 50/50. If not, go back to the end of the line, wait for your brain to grow and then, come back:hi:
Bute is getting better with each fight. He has speed, technique, experience and power. He is truly awesome.
He's simple too fast for Froch, but Froch is tough as nails, never quits. Would be interesting fight.
I'll give you that Froch has good physical resistance, a big heart, and the confidence of a champion, but talent wise, he doesn't even come close to Bute. He'll always have a puncher chance but he too would have gone to the mat with the shot to the liver...
Andrade might not be the most skilled boxer out there but to see him constantly refered to as a gatekeeper or a bum is kinda pissing me off. The guy had 3 title fight in his career, two vs Bute and one vs Kessler who are clearly skilled fighter and top 3 in this division. Every other guy he has faced, he beat convinsingly. He absolutely trashed Stieglitz who's now the current WBO belt holder... Had their fight beenfor that belt at the time, everyone would refer to Andrade as a (or former) belt holder. Andrade is a legit top 10, end of story.
The thing about this knee jerk reaction that he should be #1 is Bute has to step into the ring with big fry now. If say, he fights Kelly Pavlik, and Kelly Pavlik puts a lot of pressure on him and stops him late how are people going to perceive Bute then? That's right, he would have gone from hero to zero. That is the exact problem with overreactions. He'd be #1 despite not beating the best, suddenly he steps in the ring with a top fighter and things don't happen so well and then he's got a long way to fall and suddenly he's no longer #1 he's exposed. Just keep perspective people, it helps when fighters win and conversely when they lose...
