Probably the fact that the first five rounds were so competitive.

I obviously an not privy to the contract, but if there is a three month clause then it might mean Bute will have to use that and the belt won't be on the line. That or sign a 'three way' deal that Bute gets winner against whoever....

The first round and a half..

For sure, if Froch really does come blazin' on all engines like last time... then there is a good case that Bute just cannot handle that..

But we have seen Bute come in sluggish in other fights... Before Johnson and Ward he looked down at the canvas during the introductions of the fighters and he looked a mix between worried, frustrated and like he didnt really care...

Against Pascal, Dirrell, Kessler he had a big confident smile on during the entire build-up... and performed much better... now that doesn't mean that he is invincible becuse he still lost to Kessler. But he actually performed well and so did Kessler so he lost a close decision.

But since we don't know exactly which Froch comes into the fight... I cannot say for sure Froch will blow him away. But he probably will come in very self-confident... so chances are we will see him diring on all cylinders.. but who knows..

Yeah, that is a possibility but usually it does not make economic sense.

Imagine you are Ward and fight Froch in October... then you really do not want to be locked in to fight Bute in Canada. That would cost millions more for Ward to agree to have a clause like that. Kessler also would not just agree to that .. and so on... Only some unknown guy would agree to that without being able to demand too much in return.

Bute never meet the canvas in the Froch fight.

they had one.Leonard Dorin did whoop Spadafora's ass in Pittsburgh for WBA and IBF straps.luckly all 3 judges were americans and they ruled a draw.one of the worst hometown cooking i've ever seen.the hbo comentators were disgusted, that's saying alot.this is why american fighters don't have passports, they like the hometown cuisine

You know nothing about Romanian boxing. We had an olympic champion, Nicolae Linca in 1956, a great fighter who made a lot of noise in America in 30`s and a great fighter who dominated Russians and Cubans in LHW in 80`s in amateurs, Francisc Vastag.
We have also in last 15 years three retired Champions of the world to profesionals:Mihai Leu,Leonard Dorin and Adrian Diaconu (the last indeed was very short time champion). The first of these three was one the few profesionist boxers who finished unbeaten.

Our school of amateur boxing brougt for decades medals in international competitions.

Having no tradition in professional boxing due to historical conditions doesn`t mean we don`t have competitive boxers.

Intebox has already gone on record stating that froch can take a fight in between against whoever and if he looses they then have the first shot at the new champ.. They said that the contract left them well protected..

Even so if i were team froch i wouldn't let them dictate anything other than there is to be a re-match in Canada. Their man lost by stoppage ffs.

    Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

can't see bute ever being able to trouble froch enough to stop him, he just isn't durable enough to go to the trenches. Maybe he can box his way to a decision but i really don't see him as being that good of a boxer to do so for a full 12 rounds against froch.

true, but he also took his belt to Nottingham for a leeser pay day from what he was used to fighting bums in Quebec.i think it's more of a gentelman's agreement here, beside Froch will make good money and there's little to none chances he'll loose this one,so stfu
