The guy I was quoting was talking of Andre. Read before posting please. If you think Anthony earns a shot at Ward, you are a worst case than I thought. Like Beastsideboxing said, I could understand if Ward's fans say he earns an easy fight and believes the Bute-Ward fight would be bigger if Bute fights Froch first. Just stop saying he doesn't earn a shot. That's plain dumb.
I'm 100% sure that Bute will jump right away on the Ward fight if the conditions are fair for him and his team. What I refer by "fair" is no 70/30 cut. Bute has been eager for big fights for long time now. Think back at the Bute-Miranda/Pavlik-Martinez double header that was suppose to lead to a clash between 2 divisions champs. He tried to get Stieglitz after, Kessler and Pavlik again. Rummy I'm very confident if 1 of the two(Froch/Ward) would accept we will have one of those fights next. Unfortunately winner of Kessler-Stieglitz is out of the question otherwise I would've guaranteed to you that Bute whould have fought - Ward, Froch or Kessler- next.
I am sure that on the Showtime's side, they will be rooting for a Ward-Bute fight. It 's the possibility for another unification in north America, and Bute team said that they were ready to go in U.S. territory. The ball is in the Ward's camp. If he want to fight Bute, the fight will happen. But saying that Bute is not at his level, had an easy road , has to improve in fighting another A boxer is pure BS; the man has a belt and no lost; if Bute is at the same level as a mandatory, as others said, why not Ward take that easy belt ? It will be more achievement in smw for him.
My bad!!! i would just like to see Bute fight Kessler or Froch first and mirror Ward to make the the fight, also I get you and beastly are Bute fans but i'm a boxing fan and and don't go by there passports and want to see the best fights happen but Bute NEEDS a Kessler or Froch before he warrants Ward. Ward could get a bigger fight with Hopkins/Dawson at light heavy if he wanted and get the same pay. I think that would be sad though and would want to see Ward and Bute have a fight each Ward vs his mandatory Dirrell and Bute vs Froch, kessler then it's game on!!!! Bute can't just be in the background and have a **** poor resume and demand ward!!!! period enough said i 'm going to bed and you and beastly can swing along as Bute's testicles probably do!!!!:hi:
First off, I was only half joking with you! :good In all seriousness, I believe more so now than ever that Ward beats Bute, but I think Lucian is more effective than Froch was. Given the choice, who do you think Bute would fight? Ward? Or Hopkins?
I'm sure Ward would have no problem beating bute convincingly in front of a sold out crowd at the bell center. Judges won't matter. Outclassed is outclassed. Bute has only himself to blame by picking his old sparring partner glen johnson instead of any of the other super 6 participants
Other S6 participants? Which one was available? Only one I can think of is Kessler, but he came to Montreal, went back to Denmark never to be heard of again by Interbox...
Non of the above. I think most chances are for Froch who probably want's to jump back in the mix like he did after the Kessler loss in the fight against Abraham. But if Froch take a easy home town fight(Magee,DeGale,Groves), which is understandable because unlike Ward he hasn't fought home for a while, Carl will have the Kessler option to which is equally good financial as Bute and more familiar style wise also a more easy fight skill wise the Dane being a bit faded and injury prone. This content is protected will be our best and most probable fight that can be made. It was already close to a done deal in Nottingham before Carl got the super six invitation and Kessler is not immediately available him having the Stieglitz fight scheduled next. This content is protected is the next best thing but I don't think Dirrell would jump in such a fight without a serious tune-up. Plus Dirrell doesn't really brings anything to the table, but a little bit of prestige, and is quite a skilled and tough fighter to beat.Very Big Risk - Extremely Low Reword type of fight. This content is protected might be the 3rd best option but he won't be considerated as a A lvl fighter and Ward would still have excuses. .....Ward cannot duck Bute more than 2 fights if Bute takes on good opposition and in that way builds up a possible clash between them and also destroys Andre's current excuses.
Other Super 6 Participants: 1 Allan "Where's my feet" Green AKA "The Puncher" AKA "Might not show up fight night" WAS KO'D by Johnson 2 Kessler - refused Bute , also fighting Stieglitz for peanuts 3 Froch - Fighting Ward in the Final 4 Ward - Fighting Froch in the Final 5 Dirrell - No network wanted him, been out over a year, haven't even had 1 tune up 6 Taylor - Retired 7 Abraham - Returning to MW, He got his share of top SMW's, outclassed by both. 8 Johnson - The only one who was available and willing.
you are ******ED !!!! so Bute needs to "prove he belongs in the ring with Ward" yet you have absolutely no problem in Ward fighting Anthony Dirrell. So this Anthony Dirrell who is a nobody is more proven than Bute.Fan like you are a disgrace to boxing.again, let me repeat that for you : YOU ARE ******ED
What alarm bells? Why would Bute fans be scared? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwf8IK5iiB0[/ame] You're right, I don't think Kessler or Froch can look like that in the ring. :bbb
You did know there was a second Bute - Andrade fight, right? Or are, you one of those "Rahman > Lewis fan club" types? Also, on the subject of mandatories, all the "****" mandatories Bute disposed of (yes, even Mendy) were more deserving than Anthony Dirrell is (at this moment).
First off, I've been known to call for Bute to face 1- Super6 runner-up, 2- Andre Dirrell, 3- Super6 champ, in that order. More build-up for more money, but holy hell would Showtime have to dish out a lot of dough to secure the S6 champ's next few fights. Shark Hershman @ HBO prolly wants to bite (e.g. contract offer to Ward) Second, Bute doesn't 'need' to step up. The step up per say, fighting a Froch or Andre Dirrell after he outclasses Cunningham, is a marketing plus for a 3-belt fight, an opportunity for Kessler to become a title holder again (re: Stieglitz) and an opportunity for Ward to clear the WBC's mando mandate. Third, Bute doesn't 'need' to earn ****. Bute-Ward can be as big as Calzaghe-Kessler, and there would also be Kessler waiting on the back-end of the contract for a full unification fight. Bute is clearly part of the SMW top 4, end of ****in story. To think otherwise is demonstrating tunnel vision. Good morning. :smoke
