Why is Bute not reserving a date sooner than August? Fighters of today's generation in general are not active enough.

ideally it would be something like that : Bute vs Froch in Canada ( april ) then Bute vs Froch in U.k ( august ) and Bute vs Ward in USA ( MSG / MGM ) in December .....
Both IBox & Hearn confirmed they had talks of a 2 fight deal. Both said it was a viable possibility for 2012. Still way more positive than the short Sauerland-IBox episode. "Silence" is not necessarily a bad thing. Froch is probably weighing other options (Kessler, domestic fights) where as Showtime & IBox might be trying to put together "the right money" (re: Ward's post-fight interview) so Ward-Bute actually happens this spring. Nothing confirmed as of yet, but it's looking pretty good.
