Totally agree. Its a minimum of a year to 18 month before he should be thinking of Kessler. I cant see him getting away with that sloppy low left against Mikkel's piston right hand.... theres work to be done but nothing that is impossible.
Told you guys a while ago that Bute wasn't ready for Kessler or Calzaghe and that he needed to continue to develop and improve. He is still top5 in the division tho.

What do you guys think about Lacy-Bute? I didn't see the fight tonight, but if Lacy's performance against Manfredo is any indication of his current state, then Bute could beat him and get more exposure in the USA. But would Lacy's promoter allow him to fight Bute right now?
i think it would be a good showcase for Bute in the state if the fight can land on HBO. Otherwise it would probably be a waist of time. Much like the Joppy fight.
