People, Bute was suppose to fight Mads Larsen in Europe. Larsen pulled out after months of negotiation. Bute turns around in a matter of days to put together a fight against a much tougher opponent (on US television too boot) and you guys still find a way to criticize him. Yes, it would be better if he was fighting Andrade, Kessler, Taylor, Froch, etc... But it's not a bad fight. In fact it should be a very entertaining fight and a great premise to Bute-Andrade II.
not a bad choice for a 'comeback' fight, which is what it is essentially since he was KTFO last time out. Hopefully, he'll try and unify with another belt holder later in the year...but I won't hold my breath or cross my fingers.
this is a bull**** fight and Lucian Bute has many more meaningful bouts to make. Garbage,he should at least give Andrade a rematch first. So, Thunder, Defend this like its your boy Diaconu (the nobody) fighting. How is there an excuse for this?
****ing Euro, hiding behind a mando and trying to pee on our legs and tell us it's raining... Poor fight. Fight Andrade; he deserves a rematch...
Chances of Bute knocking Zuniga out are are VERY slim. He has a head like a rock! Pavlik stopped him on cuts, and Zuniga does have a tendency to cut around the eyes. So, ya, Bute could get a tko, but a straight up knock out is very unlikely. Zuniga's losses are Santos at 154, a weight Z man probably should have never been fighting at. Pavlik at 160 in a brutal war. Inkin in a fight Zuniga took on very short notice. Pavlik, Zuniga, and Zertuche came up through the ranks at 160 at pretty much the same time. In my opinion Zuniga's best fights were the war with KP, the two fights with Zertuche, and the ass whippin' he laid on Oganov at 168. Fulgencio is a good strong challenger. I like this fight.
I see you continue to criticize and put down fighters without even having seen them fight like the good troll that you are. For your information: 1- Zuniga lost a decision in a world title bout against Daniel Santos when he had only 15 fights on his record. 2- He went to war with Kelly Pavlik in his 19th fight sending the future undisputed middleweight champion to the canvas in the very first round. 3- Lost a close fight to undefeated Denis Inkin in Germany in a world title bout on 2 weeks notice. 4- Has a knock out win over David Lopez who has remain undefeated ever since (4 years and 13 consecutive wins) 5- He absolutely dominated and destroyed undefeated prospect (26-0 26ko) Victor Oganov. 6- Has a win over Antwun Echols. 7- Had two wars against Zertuche. :deal
