The subject of this thread is Bute/Zuniga. Please list the other swarmer/brawler type fighters, who can also fight off the back foot, and have KO power in both hands, that Bute has fought. After that we'd like to read your fact based assesment of why Zuniga is not a good learning experience for a kid with only 23 fights. Barring that:

    SHUT THE **** UP!

While both Bute/Andrade had to be tired by the end of their fight, does anyone feel that was the major factor in Andrade getting through to Bute at the end? Or did Andrade do something to create an opening like just 'go for broke' knowing the end of the fight was at hand? I don't remember Bute looking any more drained than Andrade at that point, but, I've only watched that fight once.

I did watch the fight a couple of time and even if Bute seems not to bad in the start of the round something happens in the first minute of the twelve round im not sure if its a headbutt a descent shot or just the fact he try to hold everytime Andrade was getting close.

I cant see the same thing happens with Zuniga , he maybe fight better then Andrade but cant even dream to match Abdrade in the physical part,
Zuniga hes a small SW, he is dangerous with that left hook but i dont think he could be a factor against a southpaw like Bute.

Bute by K.O. in the 9 round

I dont think Bute's defence is that bad , i admit he like to keep its right down but he will never do it in the first round of a fight he only do this when he got the distance for hes punch.

My only concern with Bute its not his chin like some people like to think he got problem with, i think those people only know boxing from youtube!! but im still concern with is close fighting he got problem fighting on the inside he seems to be shy to throw. Maybe a fight with a lot shorter guy like Zuniga can help Bute fix that for he's rematch against Andrade.

I do not get the Andrade/Zuniga comparisons. Apart from the fact that both can bang a bit, they have little in common.

sorry if i wasnt clear , english is not my first language as you could see.
i dindnt want to compare Zuniga to Andrade i only want to say Bute vs Zuniga with his short range could help Bute learning to fight on the inside.

Fighting in close range was the only thing Bute didnt do right against Andrade and probably the main reasons he got so exausted by the end of the fight.

Indeed, Bute didn't get to the body of Andrade when they were close, he prefered to clinch but next time, the referee won't compromise on the rules. At the same time, Andrade did give head shots when he came inside and he will get warn also. So the inside game should be one of the thing to focus on in the fight against Zuniga

I disagree with focusing on the inside fight with Zuniga. This cat only needs about 8" to knock ya the **** out with a short-sweet left hook. He is also in love with his own uppercut. Inside fight = Bute on the canvass. Bute needs to box from range, and take advantage of the fact that Zuniga has mediocre reflexes, a less than stellar jab, and only 70" of reach.

Surprisingly, Bute has the same reach (70"). He's tall but his arms are not very long and his chest is not very large. Against Andrade, he had an 8 inches disadvantage. Bute uses his long and fast feet to get out of reach. It's his way to defend himself: to move around. He doesn't block very much. I think Bute should not try too hard to develop an inside game but he should learn to block. Against Andrade and Zuniga, it could be helpful.

Bute could stand to learn to rotate his upper body with his punches so they have something on them. I watched the fight again last night and he throws a lot of arm punches. He did a square up little flurry against Andrade a couple of times and the crowd would cheer in spite of the fact they were being blocked by the gloves and would't have hurt Andrade if they hadn't been.

Andrade has to win another fight before he can think of Lucian, how does he have to improve to get another result than what we saw last time? Should he open-up earlier in offense and try to finish him earlier, or should he keep the same tactic and push Bute to the limit ?

And Bute, what does he have to do better to avoid being washed-up at the end of the fight? Box from the outside or get a better inside game to give Librado a tougher close range fight ? Last time, Bute almost never used his more effective shot, left hook to the body, because he had no intentions to fight inside, maybe things could be diffrent if he's able to get closer. But he may have to pay the price and get inside to land his body shots.

    Very interesting fight indeed!
