I don't recall hearing about Joe fighting big punchers who established themselves in the pro ranks, as an amateur. Bute still had lots to learn, and Golovkin's punch was perfect.

    :cheers

The way he explained it in the interview was that the virus affected his stamina/legs in the championship rounds... Bute's stamina & punch volume are total **** compared to Calzaghe's, but in this particular occurrence stamina is what caused him to go down on a punch that landed partly on the rubber. He took harder shots in other fights without staggering.

LOL I don't have a sister. I'm an only-child, made that up. Single ladies around my (current) area are pretty brutal though.

Look Bailey, I don't care if you think that Calzaghe would win against Bute. That's a fair opinion, and probably true. We'll never know, of course. But qualifying Bute's chin from the Andrade-Bute 1 12th round is kind of stupid. He was not hurt, he was exhausted. Bute took Berrio, Miranda and Bika's best shots. I think that we can be pretty sure that if he'd face Calzaghe, he wouldn't go down. Calzaghe has had glass hands for many years.

Don't go too far. Bute's chin is not a factor in a hypothetical Bute-Calzaghe fight.

Thanks for the explanation. After all, Calzaghe never struggled with any of his opponents. :nut

I leave you and Calzaghe fans alone. This is your thread.

I dont understand why people say that Calzaghe will easily outbox Bute. He was never out-boxed in any of his matches in his professional carrier and even beat some Calzaghe opponents easier than Calzaghe did. Calzaghe could have beat Bute in his prime but not easily.

Would Calzaghe struggle with Bute? very possible, Bute could make it a tough night but would Bute beat Calzaghe? No.

Most of the guys Bute fought after Calzaghe, Bute already had knowledge of what those opponents were capable of because Calzaghe fought them. Calzaghe basically didn't so he had to formulate gameplans from the 1st round.

Easier to outbox someone if you know their gameplans.

Besides, early Calzaghe destroyed an opponent that Bute took 3 rounds to finish when his hands weren't brittle as heck yet. And he did it in a more dominating fashion.
