They said he could not win on points so he did it. Plus he seemed to be able to finish that game whenever he wanted. Stieglitz was like a dead man that night.

What's funny about your statement right there is that the fight was for Bute's IBF SMW title. That means 168. That means Bute was the champ at that weight. If he felt he couldn't make 168 anymore and be effective, he should have relinquished the belt, moved up to 175, and done the fight there.
