I like this fight for Kelly down the line but not right now. IMO Kelly needs atleast two more fights before he'll be ready for the likes of Bute. With that said I'll be fully behind kelly if this fight comes off.
Hmmm. You are half right. He has not used it in the last fights but I remeber rocking Berrio with the right hook and from the has gone to the stoppage 10 sec later. I hope he will let go his comos more from now on.
A big chance at redemption for Pavlik if this happens. A Pavlik win and we can talk about how only the best p4p can beat him. But to be honest I think Bute would have this one, I just get the feeling Pavlik is finished and only looking for a pay day.
The inactivity thing is just an excuse. Come on now! Until november Pavlik has enough times to fight a bum or two and make 2 million rounds of sparring. If he looks like **** it's because Bute is way better than him or Pavlik is over the hill. Arum does not like the idea of an interim fight. **** happens: cuts, hand injuries, et. However, Jack Leow wants a fight in August. One name that has been bandied about is Aaron Pryor jr. That would be a decent choice. Of course, there's more than one way to skin a Canadian! Kelly could use the allotted time to work in the gym. South Side Boxing, and the Top Rank gym in New York. He could focus solely on Bute, and probably come in real sharp without another tune-up.
What I heard was either in Canada or in Atlantic City. I hope he will go to the state, to make a statement and to get some needing experience without his crowd to go eventually against the S6 winner or other big fish. it would of been nice to see pavlik have a couple of tune up fights to get back in the swing of things. going for bute straight away is not a good idea. he will be stopped for the first time - round about the 7th round.
Bute is B class until proven otherwise. That said the knocking out an american level plodder like pavlik won't mean anything. Whilst the great white hoax is still a genuine threat to waitresses and bartenders across hicksville ohio, especially those that call 'time please' - he poses no real threat to Bute, let alone the top guys at 168. BUT the dumbyanks will no doubt once again mistake american level banger for world class fighter and get all confused when the alky gets his ass handed to him on a maple leaf.
Sauerland DID give InterBox a counteroffer, but Bute was reluctant to leave Canada. Topic: This will be the end for Pavlik who I feel is yet another fighter tailormade for Bute. I think Bute stops him.
Bute improve his right hook and his jab! still not worldclass shot but at least those are decent! Bute won't be able to compete with Kelly jab though!
