Most of the hate stems from his ridiculous, delusional fans who picked him to knock Froch out without a doubt. Hes a gentleman and comes across as a great lad. Nothing but respect for him, his deluded fans however..... wow.. just wow.
^This. BTW I find the feigned outrage about fighters being disrespected on this forum after a loss to be quite amusing. It's been happening all day, everyday for the eight years that I've spent reading ESB. Nobody gives a **** until their favorite fighter gets embarrassed.
Isn't the reverse as well though? That a fighter doesn't get respected until they suffer an embarassing loss?
I agree with the OP. Bute was as classy as they come in defeat, and had a lot of balls to come over and fight Froch in Nottingham
No hate, but there is nothing worse than a paper champion. He should never have been rated that highly. It isn't his fault, perhaps, but it goes to show that a guy with a "0" who has only fought low-level opponents should never be rated above a guy with quality wins.
:good agree with everything I think Bute got what he was looking for: exposure against tough competition he lost and I hope he takes this defeat as a learning experience to get better
