Very interesting post.... IDK how I missed it.

You are right Bute's reaction after getting hit is the problem. He does two things, clinches or walk back into the ropes. Both very very wrong for him. Now the perfect solution would be to have something that night that will earn Froch's respect and keep him away keep him were you want him and not get hit to much.

You might be right about the fight not making to the whole 12 rounds to.

    Good interesting post.

I think one thing that is greatly missed on the post is about Froch himself.
When Froch is a challenger for a world title, he is a completely different beast to the one defending a world title.
Look at how Froch fought against Pascal, Abraham and Bute when he was challenging for a world title and then look at how lazy with a low slow workrate he has when defending. I have thought before that there is a difference.
I think if Froch had of fought with his challenger mindset in the Kessler and Ward fights he could well have won those fights.
I wouldnt be shocked if being away and how Froch seems lazy when defending, if he doesnt put it all on Bute like he did first time and gets outboxed for long spells.
Still the shocking things was how everytime Froch landed cleanly on Bute, he had him hurt. Bute was always careful and never really caught clean often before, so you wouldnt bet against another Froch KO

    Conclusions:-

    1. Pride comes before the fall
    2. Hunger and will to win in a tough opponent > skillzzz in a weight-drained, confused opponent
    3. If you kill yourself to make the weight, you will be killed in the fight by an opponent as good as you
    4. Banking everything by going against the ropes to draw Froch into a trap so you can KO him with a bodyshot backfired...

    Recommendations:-

    1. Make weight properly or move up. Don't stay up all night before the fight killing yourself to make weight!!...

    2. Don't overtrain and don't overanalyse things.

    3. Always have a plan B.

    4. Play to your strengths: i.e. box and move, box and move, box and move - not to your weaknesses.

    5. ...Continue to fight the best, win or lose! ;)
