Bute's fight convinced me that Margo will beat Pac

I don't like to call guys "all time greats" while they are still active, even though Pac and Hopkins probably deserve it.

Well, to me, once you hit a certain place, you can go downhill as far as possible and get knocked out fifty times and it doesn't really change anything you've accomplished. Of course, if Pacquiao is on that A-side meth...Anyone can be an ATG on that ****. I once saw Simmie Black knock out Holyfield in the gym after a hit of ASM.

Although I disagree I commend you for actually writing up a reason rather than Margo big Pacman facing danger. I agree that Pacman is vulnerable to uppercuts and if Margo fights tall with pressure he may have some success. I don't think Margo will be ready for Pac's speed though. Hard to train for his type of speed and with his footwork getting better I still think he can come in with an attack then turn Margo.

 

The problem I see with this comparison is that it is limited to the size of the fighters involved. Bute is taller than Brinkley and Margarito is taller than Pacquiao. However, Bute was also the faster guy against Brinkley and you can't say the same thing about Margarito.

Also, Bute and Margarito don't fight in a similar way. Bute is a southpaw who's got a really good weapon in his left hook to the body. That shot forced Brinkley to cover his body with his right elbow, which opened the way to those left uppercuts. Margarito, unlike Bute, is an orthodox fighter. It is true that both of them's got a great uppercut, but I don't think that Margarito is fast/talented enough to force Pacquiao to cover his body like Brinkley did. I don't think that Margarito will be able to land those upercuts on Pacquiao.

 

The qualities of A-Side Meth are highly exagerated. I used to do a lot of that **** when I was a kid. With A-Side Meth it only took 3 cops to beat my ass and put me in the back of a squad car. Now PCP -- that's a different story. That's a five-cop drug:yep

 

I think Little Red used to be on that.

 

That's the worst way to break down a fight....using another one.

 

oscar is as tall as margarito

 

Again Oscar was a dead man in that fight, admitted by roach and proof is in the 2 pounds he gained over night, he came into the ring at 147 that night after having weighed in at 145.
The man was dead, you cant even compair the height there becuase he had no liquids in his body

 

Margarito does not fight tall, he bends in, which means he puts more weight on the lead foot, which makes it hard for him to transfer his weight and sway back away from punches, also, Bute patiently probes for his openings when on the front, he closes the kill zone when he see's his opportunity, Margarito simply looks to close the kill zone constantly, irrespective whether an opening is presenting itself, that is whats going to get him sharp shooted by Pac.

To beat Pac you have to cut the ring off, stabilize his in and out motion with a jab, then! you can put other punches together, what you cant do is throw no jab, close distance fast, it makes it so easy for him to his fast feet and get away, Margarito does that, he will never pin Pac down, he was also get hit with quick/hard counters for his trouble.

 

Read everything you say here then watch Cotto vs Margarito.... you can also watch the Williams Margarito fight and note that Margarito did finally make the right adjustment to make it a close razor thin fight.....
