I watched the fight, and it was on cuts caused by a clash of heads, it should have been a none contest.

so you are saying a boxers punch output, doesnt have anything to do with his opponent.. ?

it has everything to do with the calibre of opponent, a shitty opponent will give you more time, you see the punches coming, you have time for feints and i could continue with examples of how a bum like rocco, could make a fighter look better..

larsen had a field day, because his opponent, was perhaps the shittiest of all, in his comeback.. larsen hasnt had one significant fight in his comeback, none what so ever..

we will se when he fights bute, my bet would be, that he crumbles and gets ktfo

No I am saying that Rocco was on par with the rest of the fighters Mads Larsen has faced since his comeback (journeymen). Tonight Larsen performed as could be excepted when facing that level of opposition, something he hasnt done in his previous fights. Combined with the fact that he shows confidence and arrogance tells me he is on the right track.

This has nothing to do with talking Mads Larsen up after beating a journey-man. Most of the danes in here are not saying that Larsen is going to beat Bute, but merely stating that this could be a competetive fight. No doubt that Bute is the favourite to win.

You can't possibly be serious when you say that total bum was on par with guys like Velazco or Hamdan. Sure those guys aren't exactly top10 materiel but they are still light years ahead of that Italian joke Larsen fought today.

Velazco and Rocco is D-level fighters you could argue that Velazco would win h2h against Rocco. My point being that a guy like Larsen should dismiss of D-level fighters no matter the variables.

Hamdan is the best fighter Larsen has fought since his comeback but stil nothing more than a C lvl. fighter at best.

Dont get me wrong, I am not overly impressed by a dominant Win over Rocco. But I can see improvements in his performance.

The guy only fought bum since is comeback. I dont think he deserve a title shot with Bute. He need to beat a top 15 opponent before.

Mads Larsen is as worthy a challenger, as Bute(new Ottke) is a Champion.

if Mads Larsen loses to Bute, or doesent get the chance. Then will Andrade take care of Bute in their rematch. Or the top 3 at 168, Froch, Taylor and Kessler...How long can Bute stay in Canada and remain the champion of the world without stepping up?

The thing is that Sauerland has options on Bute so this fight will happen.

I rank Bute higher than Froch and I think Andrade got his ass beat again in a rematch. Only this time Bute will be more cautious, no one ko Andrade.

Id rather see this rematch than a fight with Larsen which should be considered as a tune up fight for Bute.

    Without stepping up?

Bika, Berrio and Andrade in 3 of his last 4 fights.

Bute's record is just as good as anyone else in the division.

    Stop hating.
