I think Calzaghe and Kessler beat him.

I would put him 3 or 4 in the division, im not sold on Froch yet, and Lacy hasnt done much since the Calzaghe fight.

"The Cobra" is the real deal

Even though he runs his mouth off about Joe, I still recognize his talents

    Top 3 in this division

I dunno, Hennessy Is getting the right fighters for him and he still gets tagged. He takes shots to give a shot and gets his power shots going because he stays flat footed to put full weight Into his KO shots.

Guards too low, open to straight shots and could be outworked.

Maybe, but only Calzaghe/Kessler are guys you could be certain of not getting their asses knocked out

Bute hasn't fought any top guys in their prime. Taylor got knocked out by Pavlik, why couldn't a big punching SMW do it? Mundine got clowned by Ottke, on his bad day he could very easily be knocked out or his speed could earn him the points win. Who knows?

After he's finished with Inkin, he will prove himself as top 2/3 in this depending on whether Joe stays at LHW

How would stopping Inkin, who was dropped by Bruer, and whom Froch dropped in 1999 as amateurs prove Froch was better than Bute?:huh

As Max was saying, Froch plants his feet firmly before unloading those big shots. He doesn't swing for it out of the blue like Berrio, for example, does. As a result, he is less dangerous because you can prepare for his shots. Bute could take a good, hard shot flush on the chin and carry on - he's proved that against Berrio. But as Calzaghe said, Froch's defence is much too open and any top SMW could take advantage. Unless Froch improves that defence a lot, unless he keeps a high guard, unless he increases his workrate and uses that powerful jab more and unless he learns to move better, not just up and down, he is there for the taking, great chin and KO-punch or not. Let's see how he deals with Inkin before calling Froch better than Bute, Mundine and Taylor. Even if Inkin's chin is average and Froch stops him, the action up till that point should tell us plenty about how Froch would fare against better boxers than him who also have a very good chin - there are more of those than one or two at 168.

Froch should of went for Bute Instead of Tatesvosyan who Bute battered less than 2 months earlier.

    ...and so should Inkin...

I guess it's last chance saloon for the two of them now and they both prefer fighting each other than Bute + Berrio. Cannot blame them, to be honest. The winner of their fight will inherit the vacated belt, without having to fight Calzaghe.

How is he going to beat Andrade when he has a bad defence, not enough power to crack Andrade's chin and doesn't like pressure at all?

Andrade will cut him down late with pressure and workrate.:yep

    I've always said that.

Presumably he will do it by using a good jab, by outboxing him, by "moving circles around him", staying in the centre of the ring, moving right and left, not letting himself pushed back against the ropes. A very good intelligent boxer with good movement, who punches fast, with precision should be able to beat an Andrade at his best.

If Bute cannot, he wasn't as good as we thought. We'll see, if Andrade gets past Stieglitz and if Bute doesn't lose in his next voluntary defence. Bute v. Andrade is planned for September, apparently...(although I thought the rules said the mandatory defence had to take place within 9 months of the title win):huh

Bute has average moment, is tactically inept, doesn't use his jab well and isn't going to improve. Andrade, with his 1 good attribute, pressure, will drive Bute the ropes and pummell him. Bute will freeze, as always.

Then, say goodbye to the Bute train.:good
