so because he was the linear champion makes him a better fight. he may have held the title, but by no means was he even in the top 5 fighter in that division at that time. whereas margarito had been the recognized #1 fighter in the division for nearly 4 years at that time.

then explain why did floyd fight judah who no longer had anything to offer. and don't come with the standard "the contract was already signed" because since that contract was allegedly signed, it was signed for the undisputed ww title. and since he no longer held that title, the terms of that contract were now null and void.

#1 contender was what i meant to say. and the only reason that people started asking for that fight was because he was talking about fighting cory spinks at 154. and that was after margarito signed to fight clottey after having the 8m offer on the table without a response. but we wont get into that.

as far as lineal title that argument is pure b.s because by that logic, a fight with erdei at 175 is a better fight than anyone else at that weight since he is in fact the lineal champ there.
