Yeah Macklin can have an aggressive temperament but he can also box. Macklin is the best middleweight in the UK. And he has Buddy Mcgirt in his corner now so he is prepaired to upset the unproven Golovkin. Macklin was robbed vs Sturm in Germany. And Macklin fought an even fight with a PFP top 5 fighter Sergio Martinez until he was Ko'd.
If he couldn't beat up sturm, then how does he even trouble GGG. Don't be the guy that called Golo an unproven fighter and then make excuses when he trounces this guy. GGG needs to have the chance to prove himself, but 345 wins out 350 amatuer fights and a close to 90% KO ratio against decent pro op lets me know that he's earned his hype.

Quite possible Macklin will get dropped in the !st if he engages Golovkin but he won't. Macklin kept a healthy distance from Martinez so why would he get in Golovkin's kitchen? Unless Golovkin starches him with a single shot early (unlikely) Macklin will certainly keep distance the first time he tastes Golovkin's power. Buddy McGirt is obviously going to have Macklin fight in and out while keeping distance. No way this fight turns into the stand your ground collision that some are predicting/expecting.

to be fair he was killing himself to get down to 154 & was years ago and its fair to say macklins improved abit since then..... was a great fight though one of my favourite ever domestic fights
round 4 i think - if he fights like he did against martinez he might make it past 6, if he goes out like he did against sturm i reckon he goes down in the 1st 4
