Put me down for Pac. I just dont see Juan beating Pac with his style. If you said Valero id be too nervous to take the bet...you cant analyze power into equation of how a fight will turn out, 1 punch KO...If you said Guzman...id still be very nervous, slick boxer with speed, chin and skills... Now Diaz, a guy with no power to KO Manny, a guy with not enough skills to outbox Mannym a guy who will walk towards Mannys left. Id pick Pacman 70/30. Had Diaz been doing this in 130lb, Pac would still be a heavy favourite but because its 135 its a different story? You guys are making too much out of 5lb...Duran came up from LW to take Hagler on, Arguello from FW to WW to take on Pryor. I do think people way overestimate weight sometimes. Just read Eastside post above. Yep, to make this bet fair there should be one Juan vs one Pac believer. The way it is, 20 guys betting for Pac could go out if you win whereas only 1 Juan man will go out if we win. Hardly fair. Personally I hate time off bets, I like to enjoy my win and cant do that if they dissapear. Prefer if you guys stayed around and got a Pac avatar or something...
Not just weight. Endurance (the best in boxing) Punches in bunches (again, at least ONE of the best in boxing) Uses a Jab Youth Lifestyle (clean) And weight and size (walks around at 150-160lbs)
Admittedly, I had favored Juan over Pac even before his win over Julio, and the main reason is the weight difference. But my thinking has chanced a little but since then. The only question here is, can his power that we have seen at 130 be enough to seriosly hurt Diaz? Becasue it is the only thing IMO that can make the difference for him. If Diaz can be affected, and won't walk through Pac's flurries, I say it will be a great, great fight, and Pac can really win it. BUT if Diaz just shrugged it off like he did with the haymakers thrown by Freitas, well, it would be a bloody mismatch. Now, is Pac a lesser puncher than Freitas? HOw can we argue that? IMO, Pac gives the same or more damage as Popo. Popo maybe arguably the harder hitter, but Pac dishes out his punches better and more often, and they result in the same way: opponents feeling helpless and weakened. But to stop on that comparison and then claim, based on that, Pac will have no chance since he might not be able to hurt Diaz, is underrating Pac too much at the same time. putting a lot of cred to Popo's stay at 135, where to put it in an honest term, is not impressive. What has he done there? Was his fabled KO power mattered there? Was he able to floor the late china-chinned Corales who was there for him to hit all the time? Supposedly, that fight was a rumble, two big hitters, but then what we see there, was that Popo was not able to carry his power at 135. I guess that was the most important thing we learned from that fight. His lost to Diaz further proved the point. Anyway, I havr to go back to work.
Bump Don't want to bash anyone, but just want to know your views if ever Pac fights Juan Diaz at 135 or 140.
I still think Juan Diaz can beat Pac.... id favor pac at this point seeing as how he carried 147 so well, but i have no doubt diaz can beat Pac.
Pac will walk through Juan Diaz shots and eventually find his mark eventually en route to a 7th or 8th rd TKO
