It was good to see a lot of the UKs best p4p fighters on same bill, and Callum Smith going up a couple of levels and looking as dominant and as good as he is. Looked far better than Groves, on par with DeGale and in 12-18 months would hammer DeGale, and would beat Groves every day of week just now. He paced himself well, hardly got hit, picked shots great, special fighter

    Special needs?

Why do I keep hearing people saying the kid is special and when I watch him he's simply not.

15 fights in, stepped up to a guy better than anything Groves and DeGale have beat 6 and 7 yers into pro career, controlled pace, hardly got hit, great punch variety, and done first 12 rounds well, and showed ring IQ.

Remember what DeGale and Groves did to Paul Smith hen they were of a similar experience. He is a good kid with potential, let's see how he develops it will be good to see him in with Groves and DeGale in the next 12-18 months then I will judge.

In my opinion I would favour Groves and DeGale over him right now. To be honest there is a strong argument to say the novice versions of Groves and DeGale would beat him.

You have to remember the pair of them have only had half a dozen more fights. Smith is going to be world class though and I think he will win a title.

Biggest warning sign about him is he seems to have no idea how to use his feet. Veery stationary target and tries to block everything with his gloves.. Its limiting him severely. Doubt he beats anyone good with that style..
