Assuming he is signing with Boxxer, this seems weird to me, just beat Buatsi for Matchroom, mandatory to Bivol who is with Matchroom, as talk of Morrell or Benavidez who are with PBC, Yarde seems to be back to Queensbury, Hearn saying earlier this week Smith could wait for his mandatory challenge and could fight on a Liverpool show later in the year on a Matchroom card, so this odd to me. Maybe SKY have offered big money for a Buatsi rematch in the UK which i would understand as Smith would be thinking easy money maybe, but the tweet is just a pic of Callum, no sign of Buatsi, so if it's a signing to Boxxer and not the Buatsi rematch, that will be one of the strangest things i have seen in a while. Would also be disappointing and would show Smith's ambitions are easy money in winnable domestic fights against Buatsi and Azeez etc rather than trying to fight Bivol for world tittles, which i guess fair enough as he won't beat Bivol or Beterbiev, so maybe fighting Buatsi and Azeez in big money UK fights is the best choice at this stage of his career.
Has to be a Buatsi rematch surely? Like you said what other options are there? Shame really I'd have liked to see Smith v Yarde.
