I'll say fair one and as have I paid many times to see both.

Its the limp arm argument that pisses me off as it seems clear to me that he felt he was gonna be released from a clinch so to speak (think it knew it was the ref, just think he did what we all do when you wanna split away).

He was hurt. Neither he nor I deny that. But I don't think he was even as badly hurt as Froch had been even in that same round.

Of course we ****ing know you fool. One is in the Boxing hall of fame. The other has been beat at least 4-5 times in his career and is a punching bag.

And lets welcome to the room the special brigade who are now going to explain the 4-5 times that Froch has lost?

I assume he lost against the road warrior did he?

God its great to post here. Gives me a warm feeling inside.

it's certainly a fight that fires the emotions isn't it. Unbelievable how divided opinions have been really...both Carl and George have fanned the flames since by stretching their own versions of the truth. I've avoided the forums a bit lately because I honestly find it a bit sickening the stick Froch has got since the fight. After all the great entertainment he's provided the way people have turned on him is unbelievable really. :verysad

I am always very wary of people that say, 'I'm a fan but.......'

However, if you check my post history you will see I'm a big defender of Froch.

I cheered both guys into the ring (I was there).

I only boo'd Froch (which never in my life did I believe I would do), when he belittled Groves by saying how young he was and considering all that he gave it a good go. That couple with all the bollocks about it being a good stoppage meant unfortunately he brought all the boo's on himself.

If he had come out and said, 'look I wasn't on it tonight but I faught hard and got a result' I would have applauded him.

But he didn't and now he has to accept that.

Again I challenge any fighter to sit there and watch all the clips of the ending and then tell me Groves was done.

He was more knackered than hurt (though he was clearly hurt).

He looked no worse than against Kenny if at all even that bad.

Think his style caused through tiredness made him look worse than he was.

But I'm not giving Halifax Howard who forgets to give you extra any excuses.

It was a horrible stoppage from a ref that can't pretend he doesn't know better.

Lawrence Cole was horrible on Saturday night as well incidently for anyone that saw the Broner Maidana fight!

The khan Peterson Ref would have scored every round to Maidana by 10-6 due to Broner's pushing!!!

whereas that one fight you mention, Lacy, was indeed very briefly at world level, Joes 5 previous opponents were a mixture of regional and national. Frochs were either comparable or better, being Commonwealth defences.
However, well said on Kessler - no doubt beating Kessler for both Joe and Carl was world level of course.

But the Rybacki slight is unfair, and heres why - whilst its true the weak Rybacki was a replacement for the unbeaten much better but injured Inkin - had Joe not fled from his t mandatory opponent, Froch's opponent would have eclipsed a mere Rybacki or Kessler - because he'd be facing Joe.
And I am sure you are happy to accept that Joe Calzaghe was at least on par an opponent as Kessler and old man Hopkins. Its not Carls fault that Joe didn't want to turn up.

Dirrell Groves and Glen Johnson schooled the **** out of Froch and were all robbed.

If you think Johnson drew that fight, let alone Won or SCHOOLED you need to take up a different sport.

Just a peice of advice, not gonna get into any back and forth as you are clearly a troll and frankly rather go listen to England's batsman getting carved up than argue with your good window licking self.

Wise move from Froch. A rematch with Groves would only further hurt his legacy, he would get sparked cold

pathetic haters , show some respect?

and slappy joe should come out of retirement to face froch/Kessler2 etc or crawl back under his (crack) rock! double standards ?

froch would KtfO both stevenson + george groves on the same night, and then go home and bang the missus,, i want to see Froch avenge his defeat to Ward with a crisp knockout in the UK 2014 with the crowd cheering ยด;.;.` (and rightfully take his throne as P4P number one!) Froch = the KING OF ENGLAND

groves had his chance, started of well but clearly showed stamina problems as he couldnt maintain his strategy for the full 12 rounds, similar to the taylor fight he would have been stopped while desperately trying to survive and surely received some serious damage if foster hadnt saved his career (not to mention it enchances the potential rematch and groves legacy as he can argue why he wouldnt have lost somehow)

froch can do whatever the F*** he wants, and shouldnt pay no heed to wankers hating on his success :deal

Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Joe is probably a top 100 atg.

Carl hase never even been the number 1 in his division and was seriously outclassed in his last fight.

Even now if Joe came out of retirement I would fancy him over Froch.

I also fancy the 150 year old Hopkins over Carl who Joe schooled about 10 years ago.
