I don't discount it completely though. It was a decent win, perhaps a good one. But it was not great, not very good. I think Byron Mitchell was a better win all things considered.

I could probably take apart anyones resume when you pick at it like that... Cleveland Williams? Who gives a **** about the performance, he had bullets in him FFS! Floyd Patterson? Pfffftttt the guy got knocked out by fatty Johannson and an old man in Liston in one round TWICE! Ali barely beat Doug Jones....was losing to Patterson till the stoppage in the 7th....lost the biggest fight of his career versus a pre Foreman Frazier....lost to Ken Norton twice in reality....lost to Jimmy Young imo.... Veit was a young, undefeated, giant of a SMW who many believed was the real deal....Calzaghe stopped him in one. The nature of the performance was really something...if Hopkins gets credit for beating Joe Lipsey then Calzaghe should for Veit :hey
Of course we did, you could probably add in Brewer too. If Bernard Hopkins is considered a 'legend', then Calzaghe with his superior resume should be rated that bit higher. I even got Dan B to concede that whoever won the fight between Calzaghe and Hopkins took the lead legacy wise :happy
What an awful post. Truly a failure of the epic variety. Your desperate attempts to defend your Joe in the face of some reasonable and objective criticism is as strange as it is sad. "Nit-pick" wins over Liston, Foreman, Frazier (twice), Norton (twice), Shavers, Lyle, Foster, Quarry, Chuvalo, Mathis, Cooper all you like, try, but you will only look utterly ridiculous in doing so.
