calzaghe could beat lesser cruiserweights and might even make a championship fight competitive. but it just seems his frame is not big enough to flesh out to.

he will lose some stamina and speed as a result of the move, and his chin won't be as hard up there. but one of the biggest factors is while he can hurt folks at super middle, i don't think his power will get respect at cruiser and if he pushes hard he might break one or both hands which will probably mean he gets battered to a ko loss.

he's a great, great fighter, but since he loves brawling too much, the champs would probably do him in as a weight division too high.

then again he spars with macca regularly so he might be able to utilise his speed and experience over the lesser skilled crusier and win a cautious points decision.

but nah, i think joe is wise in going only up to light heavy.

There isn't anybody he couldn't beat at crusierweight. All of the top ranked fighters are susceptible to a counterpuncher. The problem is there isn't anybody at crusierweight who has a big enough name to make it worthwhile. Calzaghe would make a lot more money fighting Pavlik.

He might be a champion at cruiser. Depends on how he handles the extra weight.

If he came in at 175-180, he would defeat all but a few cruisers and also any heavywt lower than 12.

I don't see him winning against any of the titleholders. To be honest, I don't see him doing too well at 190-200. His limit is 175.

No way, Joe doesn't have the power to deter them.

    We don't know that.

He's only ever fought at 168, and he struggles to make that weight.

Floyd didn't have the power to deter Baldomir, and what's more, he didn't need it.

i think Cruiser might be a stretch, he is a slim guy anyways. Someone with the speed to hit him could beat him, but joe boxes the ears off of mormeck!

Possibly not. He's better suited at LH and SM

Yes, that is exactly right. Calzaghe would give them all a boxing lesson and their superior strength would be worthless.
