with Froch not having the best defence, Joe would break a piece of him off. Froch doesn't put his hands to his head when being attacked... that wouldn't be good being in the ring with Joe. i'm a big fan of both, but i'm not stupid. Joe would wreak Froch with a one sided beating. he could actually stop Froch by accumulation.
amen :happy he was even losing to taylor before the ko.....he had a gift againt dirrel....he was out classed vs kessler...and we all know what ward gave him. I Think Joe is in Wards boxing skill level and he has more pop....so just make the math. btw i have never been a calzaghe fan...
Really, WILL always be remembered? I agree with Calzaghe. Froch didn't exactly dominate Taylor (who was winning until the KO) and Dirrell got robbed. Froch is good but not elite.
i had Froch up by a point going into the 12th and final round (as did most watching at the time. or had it even) with Froch knocking Taylor down and winning the 12th big, i would have had Froch winning by 3 points had it gone to full route. but the scores were mostly American and we know how they like to rip off traveling fighters. i had Froch beating Dirrell by 3 points. you can't win a fight using the embarrassing tactics as he did back then. the only problem i had was that it was by split decision. Dirrell is a fool who should stay retired. the first fight between Froch and Kessler was a close fight that i gave to Kessler by 2 points. no one was outclassed.
man you are a froch fan....we all can see it!!! i really disagree with you. froch fans are way worst than mayweathers....delusionals
I think it can be argued that overall Froch has faced a higher level of oppositon than Calzaghe did.. But Froch hasn't won them all has he?
Joe should not be offended by Carls statement, Lewis is clearly the greatest British fighter so they should both shut up:yep
Again with this "Calzaghe will not be remembered" bullcrap. He's been retired since 2009, he has little-to-nothing to do with boxing since then except for the odd stand-alone comment, and yet he remain one of the hottest topics on boxing forums. Fact is whether you want to champion him as an all time great or denegrate him as a fraud or find some middle ground he will remember for years to come and his legacy with be subject to debate longer than Froch's will be. So drop the "he'll be forgotten" bull**** and live in reality for a while
I agree 100%. I have seen much better fighters than Froch, but at least he is an "old school " fighter who takes on the best. I don't mind that he lost to Ward and struggled with Dirrell; at least he fought them! If Calzaghe had fought a prime Jones or Hopkins and won OR lost I would have more time for him.
If Calzaghe isn't coming out of retirement to face Froch, then he should just STFU. Look how long it took Calzaghe to come over to the states and fight Jones or Bhop. He stayed over on the other side of the ocean for years beating nobodies. An old Jones and Bhop put him on his ass. Imagine what a younger version of the two would of done to him.
