He's said he weighs more than Enzo in between fights but I don't believe him for one minute. I think he just likes having a moan about making the weight.

Your anti Calzaghe/WBO fixation over the years could rival Flint islands enzo macc obsession.

Get over it he unified the division....

I know he's not fighting for a belt, but is Pavlik going to give up his WBO, and WBC titles to fight Bernard or does he hold onto them till his next bout.

I asked because if Pavlik does face Joe, for no title, he will have end up being titleless for at least a year and a half or so... as they wont be fighting for a belt...

Also AA must be in the equasion somewere...

Well I'm VERY surprised but I'm not going to argue if you have first hand knowledge.

When you see him out of training camp, doing interviews etc he looks pretty heavy. So he clearly cuts some weight. Doubt he walks around over 200lbs tho.

Something he should have done a long time ago.

Probably not, the WBO will have (admittedly slack) dates when mandatories must be fought and Calzaghe is effectively saying he's not willing to meet these obligations because the rest of his career is mapped out as he's fighting RJJ , then maybe Pavlik and then retiring. With the Ring title and the rules they operate under as long as he doesn't retire and doesn't lose at the weight then he'll stay champ, The Ring don't force their champions to defend against particular fighters, he can fight Jones and Pavlik and still stay Ring champ.

According to Ring rules dont you have to give up the belt if you move up a division? I doubt well see Joe back at 68 again.

I don't think so, you just need to be not retired and not have lost at the weight. As long as JC makes the odd noise every know and again about fighting Pavlik at 168 then The Ring won't strip him.

Say what you like about the WBO but their SMW belt has proven to be the premier belt in the division up to now.

Just look at the list of holders of the WBO belt and compare the average standard to any other SMW titles and the WBO comes out on top by a mile.

Calzaghe's WBO reign was littered with so many bums.

    Good stats.

Trounced Hamed in the WBO length of time reign

O please. Have you forgotten how THIN 168 was? Apart from Sven Ottke who else was there to write home about? There were competitive fights to be made. Joe simply didnt want them.

I'm not talking just about Joe's reign. Have a look at the lists of titlists for the WBO belt belt compared to the others. Its proven to be the the hardest to attain and had the highest level of champion.

I can name all the WBO belt holders off the top of my head. All but 1 are HoF certainties, and he's pretty damn good.

Can you say that for any other 168 belt?
