I've just seen that you think Round 1 was even apart from the KD. You sre unbelievable! Joe didn't land any punches in that round either - he didn't score once in the first 2 rounds. He was made to look like an amateur.
Hopkins had a thyroid problem before the fight and he was 42 years old, of course he got tired as the fight went on. Attributing this to Calzaghe out thinking him in laughable. In fact I'd say Calzaghe is anything but a thinker in the ring - his answer always seems to be to throw more punches (or whatever you want to call them) and hope for the best which to be fair usually works against his level of opposition.
Hopkins didnt control rounds at all. Watch it again atsch, if you can bear to. Calzaghe was manuvering Hopkins around the ring at will. :deal
Its funny, they all have problems when they fight Calzaghe. Yet these problems arent visable in their fight before or their fight after :huh. Hopkins is known for strong finishes a did finish strong in his fight with Wright and his fight with Pavlik, but not in the Calzaghe fight sandwiched between the two . Except Hopkins lost, and that Calzaghe won :smoke
define they? which proven world class fighter in his prime are you trying to ride the wave of euphoria on? i know you're pro-british, and that's fine, and i also read on your profile that you made some points regarding hopkins - calzaghe that "nobody answered". well i'll take you on. the only rule is that you have to rise above petty emotes and back up everything that you say. if you really believe in joe, this is your chance to prove it. otherwise, you're just blowing bubbles. right, you've got your first question from your last post.
Calzaghe literly BITCHSLAPPED Hopkins around the ring. If a grown man can't stop another man that's ***** slapping him with 36 minutes, and 12 rounds to hurt/ KO him...He's a loser. The slaps must have hurt some because if they didn't Bernard would have stepped inside, and busted him up, and wouldn't have to hold either.
Negative captain. You prize workrate. This is not the only, and not the best, way to score boxing. Hopkins did the better work. There can be no doubt of that, if you are (a) not blind, (b) not an irrational fanboy, and (c) aware of the rules and principles of boxing.
