No, he didn't. The green is Hopkins, the red is Calzaghe:

Hopkins did the better work. There can be no doubt of that, if you are (a) not blind, (b) not an irrational fanboy, and (c) aware of the rules and principles of boxing.

:patsch Thats YOUR interpretation, and as everyone knows, is deluded. Except it Calzaghe beat Hopkins, by outlanding, out manuvering, outworking and by landing more solid shots more frequently on Hopkins than Hopkins did Joe.

You will have to live with this one, because all you :| crying, wont change the facts or peoples opinions that HOPKINS LOST :smoke

Prime SMW Jones would beat them both in the same week.

:patsch Is that Jones who went up to LHW because there was too many threats at SMW with Eubank, Collins, McClellen, Benn, Calzaghe & Ottke and whilst up at LHW ducked Michalczewski and Erdei. Yeah thats right

The only guy who fought one of the guys on your list was Calzaghe who fought Eubank, but I guess Calzaghe gets a pass because he hand picked opponents and retired with a zero like Jones Could have done after Tarver 1. Jones beat Hopkins and James Toney in less than a 2 year span, Toney was regarded as the #1 SMW in the world and #2 p4p. You just named a laundry list of European fighters who never stepped foot outside of Europe with the exception of Calzaghe who didn't step into America until 2007 and collected his biggest paydays against old men, in America.

I am very aware of what the official result was.

However, the official results are very often wrong.

If you score fights on clean, effective work done, as I do, then Hopkins was a clear winner. :good

Collins was also signed to fight Calzaghe but retired first time and then decided he wanted to fight Calzaghe and backed out a 2nd time due to fainting in training.
Jones wouldnt have retired with an 0.
Calzaghe didnt hand pick opponents, that just shows your ignorance.
Hopkins wasnt rated as anything special when Jones beat him, he was just a title challenger with a loss.
Toneys SMW resume dosent compare anywhere near Calzaghe and its no secret Jones beat Toney when James was struggling with the weight.
Calzaghe offered to go to America years before to fight Jones for 5 mil and Hopkins for 3 mil and neither wanted to know and fought for less , other than those 2, who was Calzaghe the champ meant to travel to America to fight :huh. You wont have a sensible answer.
Unlike Hopkins and Jones Calzaghe fought away from home many many times, more than G Johnson :smoke

    Hope this helps :good

Hopkins was cleaner in that he didnt flap like Calzaghe did at times but he also didnt land as many clean shots as Calzaghe did, and when landed was few and far between when compared to Calzaghe.

I think you will find that far less often the official scores are correct :smoke

hopkins 120-107. calzaghe only wins rounds based off of what hopkins does, or doesn't do. he never actually does anything to say, he's winning the fight. but hopkins should've taken the fight out of the judges hands. and only an idiot gives calzaghe any of the first 3 rounds. he didn't land a punch until round 4. get that bull**** out of here

Haha Jones beat Toney like I said #1 SMW in the world #2 p4p, the fight wasn't even remotely close and an extra 10lbs wouldn't have mattered. Jones beat a 12 year younger version of Bernard Hopkins more convincingly than Calzaghe beat a 43 year old Hopkins. Calzaghe never left Europe until 2007.

"I could probably give Jones a tough fight, probably the best fight he's ever had," said Calzaghe. "But I know my capabilities and unless I got paid the crown jewels I wouldn't want to risk it." a quote from Joe Calzaghe in 2003 son.

Jones wasn't even in his prime in 2003.

Why is this fight always disputed ? Did Hopkins fight for 12 rds streight ? or did he act in some of those rds ?

Hopkins was absolutely disgraceful in this bout.
