Mexican Legend, why we both agree that British woman are smoking hot, i'm afraid we must disagree on this. I would like very much for the fight to be exciting, but i fear it won't. Roy IMO, is to weathered and his reflexes far to diminished to beat the Pride of Wales, Joe Calzaghe. Here is hoping for an exciting fight come the 8th.

By the way, Joe Calzaghe thinks Keira is hotter than Emma.

Please. I love how Hopkins got warned for "excessive holding" against Pavlik, yet it was fine for him to spend 12 rounds trying to slow dance with Calzaghe. He threw **** all punches and he lost that fight.

No matter what Hopkins does JC simply adapts. 10 times out of 10 Hopkins loses.

    A. British woman are something else. :hey I agree on that.
    B. I feel Jones power and speed(he still has some) gives him a great shot at beating Joe.
    C. I think we are overrating Joe abit or underrating Jones abit. Either way I dont get it.
    D. F*ck Calzaghe, Emma is hotter. :thumbsup

Geez man, some people just can't give credit where credit is due.

When Calzaghe beat Hopkins, it was because Hopkins was old and had no stamina, etc. :nut

Now that Hopkins thrashed Pavlik and disproved the above statement, all of a sudden the Calzaghe fight was a much closer result and Hopkins would beat him in a rematch, therefore Joe MUST rematch him  Interesting to note no one is DEMANDING Calzaghe fight Pavlik anymore (apart from the few idiots on here who seem to think Pavlik could still beat Calzaghe  )

Listen folks, granted the fight was an ugly and frustrating fight to watch, but ask yourselves why Hopkins, the man who just took Pavlik apart like a schoolboy, had to fake lowblows and ***** and moan and grapple and throw a fraction of the punches that he threw against Pavlik when he was fighting Calzaghe.

Ask yourselves why the same man that just outworked and outhustled the 26 year old Pavlik had to resort to clinching and taking time out and basically looked gassed from the 4th round on against the 36 year old Calzaghe.

Last but not least, ask yourselves why Hopkins wasn't asking for a rematch in the post-fight interviews when Calzaghe had just beaten him :hey

Finally, go **** yourselves you malcontented bunch of ****s :deal

Calzaghe rules, y'all are fools :yep

Joe doesn't want to give it to him ever since their first bout ended. He doesn't like his style and he doesn't want to deal with it again... Fair enough but not business wise since there's matter between both fighters and their legions of fans to bring big money to both sides once again. I understand that Joe wants to retire undefeated and doesn't want to take big risks against cagey and too tough opponents, that should be his prerogative.

You misunderstand it. Outside of the US noone sees this as a close fight (except the occasional looney perhaps). It was considered a wide UD where round one could go either way (except for the KD), rounds 2 and 3 were close and where Joe won pretty much the rest. The single judge who didn't give Joe the win is seen as either very biased or paid off. Joe himself said that his closest fight was the Kessler fight. Kessler won round 1 to 5 and arguably round 12 as well.

Just because boxrec recorded it as a SD doesn't mean people need to believe that and they don't.

As such there is no issue between them. Joe beat Hopkins clearly.

It is btw. very telling that Bernard has said often that he wants to fight Roy next. And he talks about the rematch with Roy - he doesn't talk about Joe. I don;'t think Bernard wants to get in there again with Joe. He is praying for Roy and even if Joe wins I dont think Bernard wants to do it again. He will probably just fight Roy anyway.
