Even if Bernard and Calzaghe were to have a close fight, one in which Bernard should get the nod, Calzaghe will get the nod.

Bernard has to knock Calzaghe out.. Calzaghe is the more marketable fighter.

I wouldn't agree with this with Hopkin's being the Golden Boy Fighter.

Eubank was very strong and Calzaghe could never have taken off his mind what Chris did to Watson, but he was not that skilled. Ray Close and Steve Collins did a number on him, he was dropped seconds into the fight with Calzaghe and was trading with his arms by his waist... Very sloppy and on unsteady legs in the end stretch. Would only fight twice more against Thompson at Cruiser. . Calzaghe was supposed to fight Collins and knew about Eubank as an opponent with a 11 days notice. I actually saw him pretty cocky telling Chris he would knock him out in front of the cameras and Chris back at him " Alright, we'll see what happens"... Eubank of 1997 is not definitely in Hopkins' league.

Bernard's covenant is protected, he's doministic. Survival principles his ethics, eastern philosophy's his method. Good samaritans need paremedics, so what's Joe's premise? Hopkins' buckshots sting like bees, I smoke trees on the hilltops, clubshops and chilling overseas. Take in the breeze, Mr. Freeze squeeze the trigger. Killa G's got you week in the knees, to take it ea-sy! Slash wrists, shatter chins, and bust clips, carry ya to your final rest area. What you worried though, you ain't above that with a slug and your chest beats, blowin out your back, take it easy. To your eulogy, open heart surgery, Emergency, 911, come in a hurry. That's what he gets for ****in with this maniac depressive ***** with aggresion, Jersey Joe Walcott shovel hook, in his possession.

I can't agree that Eubank was not that skilled.

Should I scratch your name off the plaque then dumbass?

And do you have the Calzaghe jock to sniff that the club gives to the annual winner or does your wife have that wrapped around her skull?

Eubank had no body or head movement, stood upright in front of Joe, tryin to catch him with sharp straight rights ( start and end of the 7th), left uppercuts and body shots but missing wildly at times like against Close and Collins ( Millstreet, Ireland)... All Calzaghe had to do was to keep his chin down, cover up, comeback with double jabs on his toes, get close and on top of him and right hook fast around his guard ( body-head) and drop left hands on him... Eubanks sloppiness and defense ( or lack of) resulted in him getting cracked with a right and a left hook while his hands were down by his side in the fifth, not to mention the two knockdowns ( 1st and 10th)... Calzaghe was relatively unexperienced at 22-0, 21 KOS ( Eubank's cousin Bobbie Joe Edwards took him the distance) but still thru 2 - Calzaghe 41 of 105 (39%), Eubank 18 of 47 (38%), tru 8 - Calzaghe 146 of 406 (35%), Eubank 98 of 244 (40%)... The result was 118-109, 116-111, 118-111 Calzaghe. Eubank was skilled but too heavy on his arms and bulky on his upper-body to be fluid... He fought mostly based on power, experience and sense of timing.

At the time Calzaghe fought Eubank, Eubank was AT BEST a B fighter, possibly B-.

Lacy, another one of his "big" 3, is also no more than a B- fighter. Go figure. :think

Hindsight might also prove bad for his Kessler win, although I think Kessler is a B+ fighter.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. Hopkins here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that **** ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Decebal. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.

You touched a bit of a raw nerve with me when you questioned Eubank's skill as he is one of my favourites, I started watching boxing when Eubank came on the scene. However your analysis does prove your point.:good
