Being a national amateur champion, I found it hard to believe that some of my mates who've never boxed a day in the life and are even considerably lighter than myself, could get a higher score than me on it.

2 time actually. Won the first when I was 16 at middleweight and the second at 18 (the age I am now) at light heavyweight (although there wasn't much competition at that weight, and i've moved back down to middle). Being a national Junior champ isn't that great a feat in Scotland to be honest because of the lack of competition but never the less, you would think I could punch harder than my steaming mates who've never learnt to throw a proper dig in their lives.

Nice one pal, yeah I know what you mean. I can get ridiculously high on them things and I dont even know how to throw a real punch (orhaven't been taught anyway). They mean nothing.

    Jeez...

Your really are a sad little man aren't you?

"Calzaghe avoided Froch.... but he put that ghost to bed by hitting a high score on a punch-bag machine"

You do know that Naz beat Lennox on one of those machines you know ?

    Actually you probably dont.

Naz hasn't beaten Calzaghe though, I know that much. Even with Naz's weight advantage.

According to Frank Warren Froch turned down the fight with Calzaghe. He was given an offer, turned it down as the money and clauses weren't enough given Froch's lack of confidence in himself.

Zab Judah fought Corey Spinks for 40k. Who did Froch think he was?

  7. I haven't read throught the thread yet, I've just saw 'Calzaghe' 'Lennox' 'Naz' 'Soccer AM' 'Machine'.

For those who are 'pro-machine' - you do know Danny Dyer beat Holyfield on the machine? Someoe correct me if it wans't Holyfield, it was a ****ing World Champ I'm sure.

NOW I shall read the thread & get my eye wiped.

I'm sure that wherever he is lately, Dan684 had his young son Lucas in front of the screen lecturing him about Calzaghe's greatness. Wants to get the lad started early. :yep

Well it's not as though he's ever going to have the chance to support Wales in a major tournament. :D

Calzaghe beat them all, therefore these machines are accurate enough.

Effort, different machine...none of this needs to be taken into account.

now you are a fairground expert!? You havent a clue and the measurement gauge is set to so settle down.

There could be and probably is a massive variance. A. It means very little anyway B. It means even less because they used different machines.

  12. What about Danny Dyer & Holyfield mate?

I'm a Calzaghe fan, although I must admit, I prefer you to Joe, as Joe has NEVER declared his love for Lee Carsley like you have.

Films have lead to me believe the result went as expected, especially since Holyfield wasn't a known puncher.
