for a man whos been undefeated since he was 17, as you say, why do you think he gets so much flack ?

its not a US - UK 'hate theory'. so why do you think someone who has such a perfect record has so many question marks hanging over him?

Why wait for Dawson and Kessler to fight? Calzaghe ain't getting younger and if Dawson beat Kessler(which I really believe he could and even more decisive than Joe did) Cazlaghe would be taking the fight too late IMO. He should do it now cause if he waits, it could back fire on him.

As for the Hopkins fight. Either way, people aren't convinced and like I said before Hopkins isn't in his prime anymore, so getting a close decision(a thought hopkins won BTW) doesn't say too much how great he is because people are gonna say that Joe wouldn't beat B-Hop back than and it definetly looked that way after their fight. So if he beat him decisive he'd be doing something that hasn't been done in 15 yrs. Don't tell me that wouldn't prove anything cause you and everybody knows it definetly would.

do you know how prophetic that sounds in relation to calzaghe versus a prime jones or hopkins? which is what should have happened?

Dawson is not better than Kessler. Also Dawson got the **** beat outta him by a far past his prime shot old man names Glen Johnson. Stop being all jealous hater.

we dont know who is better, do we?

he's not being a "jealous hater" so long as kessler isn't fighting guys of johnson's calibre.

I think Glen would beat Kessler. I don't know where you guage this that Kessler can beat Glen Johnson. Based on what exactly.

He started calling oout Jones and Bhop on the undercard of Tyson vs Neilson which was n 2001. Go 2 youtube and Check it out. He called them both out after the Lacy fight also.

And he also hadn't beat any quality fighters either at that time, so their wouldn't been anything to gain for them fighting Calzaghe at that time. Nothing at all. If they would of beat Joe, they wouldn't gotten any credit at all for it and you know it too.

Kessler has a great jab right straight combo along with a good left hook and body shots. Johnson is not as fast or diversefied as Kessler. Johnson has bad defence and does not move his head enought. He would be a sitting duck for the much younger Kessler.

calling out the best fighters in the world isn't the same as making yourself marketable enough to fight them.

as i've said a hundred times before on the forum, the reason why hatton ditched warren and went over to the US, made his name fighting solid fighters with a solid fanbase over there and earned his shot at floyd was because he was willing to find out how good he was.

if he'd have stayed in britain but never made himself marketable internationally there's no way he'd have got a floyd fight.

    thats the difference.

'calling out fighters' isnt enough if you really mean it - and joe never did.

Someone stated that Joe should have fought them years ago and i just was typing that joe wanted the fight. Anyway, I would like to see Kessler Johnson. Plus Kessler called out Bhop recently also.

Dawson is the only fight that makes sense to me...

Struggling to a close SD win vs a past-prime Hopkins and then beating up on an old, washed-up Roy Jones, in fights where he was heavily favored to win both all along, is not what I call a swan song worthy of a potential ATG.

Finishing up his career at home against a young, tough and talented #1 contender like Chad Dawson sounds alot better to me.
