Calzaghe should retire. If he fights Dawson and beats him people will just say Dawson was overrated and give Calzaghe little credit, and Calzaghe already beat Bhop and decisively so i don't think a rematch is necessary.
joe has already proved his point, bhop or roy should have got the job done but noooooooooo.so if he retires then people should just get over it and bow down.i would like to see him fight chad but i dont think he needs that fight at all.i also think chad will beat him bad in that fight as well.if i was joe i would just hang them up.
If he fought toney when he was younger when calzaghe had a lot of power plus the fast hands then he would beat toney.
Yes,RJ KO'd only,I won't say bums but not elite fighters and not even them.He fought with respect and fear with a past his prime McCallum, went distance with Toney,Hopkins,Del Valle,Telesco etc.And that MMA maneuvre he did was partially cuz Calzaghe came in recklessly like he usually does early on.His great skills and adaptability made him comeback numerous times from early KDs.Jones does not KO Calzaghe no
hopkins priced himself out of the fight because calzaghe was high risk low reward - like kessler is now when he calls out hopkins without earning it. also, the BBC correspondent ( i have to reference this just to show that it's not anti-brit feeling) had hopkins winning the fight on quality of punches. finally, hopkins is being lauded as one of the greatest fighters after the age of 40 while calzaghe is still searching for international recognition because hopkins fought and defended his crown on the world stage for 20 defences. joe defended his crown and allowed frank warren to dictate how his career path was shaped - and thats why frank warren fighters consistently fight in europe and against second tier fighters, for the most part, because to fight in the US puts them on a bigger playing field. and warren protects his cash cow first, not his fighter. and thats why....ricky hatton left him and needed only a handful of fights against fighters with a solid fanbase to get floyd. now considering the divison hopkins and jones rules at that time, how hard would it have been for joe to make those same moves?
I reckon I know about...ohhhh, a good 50-70% :deal :yep more about boxing than you do, Semen Flow. You've got nothing better than to accuse me of having alias' and using that hackneyed wail of defeat 'go back to the lounge' :| Go **** yourself and the dirty mangy dawg that sicked you out
you better do better than that if you disagree with someone. that response means "i dont know what to say".
1. You have the exact same writing style as your other aliases - MUTTLEY. 2. Your IP addressed is registered in Australia. Your aliases, IrnBruMan, AKA Muttley is registered in Australia 3. You are still a miserable, lying piece of ****. Pray we never meet face to face, Muttley.
Ive got no doubt, Roy, Hop and Toney would have likely put Calzaghe on his arse, Calzaghe's technique in the early stages of fights, testing his boundaries, reactions and generally feeling out his opponent often leads to early mistakes and losing the first few rounds. How this leads to a 60% chance of being KO'd by Roy(never stopped elite fighter) is whats baffling.
He did KO Virgil Hill and Montell griffen who both bigger and stronger than Calzaghe. He also put Reggie Johnson on his ass a couple of times and the first time he hurt Johnson, Johnson never recovered.
