yea i agree winky wright never fought above 160 when they fought , Oscar de la hoya a blow up welter weight! yea but Calzaghes ma favourite boxer n i belive he should be up there with b hop! Calzaghe has fought all the best super middle weights that they had in the divison at the time, cant say roy jones as when roy jones was in super middle was in 1996 , Calzaghe became champion at 1997

But JOnes still holds the win over him and also has wins all the way up to HW - an astonishing achievment.

Although Bernards run at Middleweight is admirable, it hardly contained a who's who of pound for pound fighters durning that reign. It can be argued Joe's resume at SMW can be compared to Bernards at MW when looking at the choice of opponents(and i'm not looking at the name, im looking at there standing in the division at the time).

thank you! at least somebody agree with me that Calzaghes resume at super middle weight can be argued to be better than the ones of bernard hopkins at middle weight! were as mentioning before calzaghes resume was top 10 boxers even manfredo was ranked 7th!

In other words "Yes, Sues, I have".

To question Amsterdam, what fighters do "our generation" include?

Bernards first opponents was Steve Frank!, john david jackson! , andrew council, simon brown! i give him credit for the glen johnson win though but hardly the names that bring shivers down your spine

Explain how it's better now that Joe's gone to LHW?? I agree having Manfredo or Mora in any top ten sort of brings the relevance of rankings in question....Kinda like having Bhop #1 P4P pretty laughable isnt it?

Err he lost to Taylor twice and none of the rest are middleweights!

Hopkins is a good fighter but his resume is an illusion. At least Lacy and Kessler are equal in size terms to Joe and he still schooled them both.

but none of theme ever fought each other! winky wright n b hop never fought until 2007 , Jermain taylor only came onto the scene in 2005 when he fought bernard hopkins! oscar was always worried about how he would fight at middlewight , trinidad moved from welter weight to middleweight within two years he was always suited at welter weight,

I see your point...Joe's actually made excuses for his dull record pointing to lack of competition...However the exact same thing could be said of Hopkins....after being ousted from 160 by Taylor he skipped over Joe altogether going to 175 to fight an average Tarver and hunted welterweights once he got there...:deal
