with calzaghe having such little power, why do people think that he was able to go toe to toe with mitchell, eubank, bika, lacy, kessler, reid, hopkins, jones etc, and never look to hold or take a step backwards with any of them?

 

you gotta admit Benn and Eubank fought and looked like a pair of clowns. Benn, Eubank, and Watson were practically the modern day three stooges to me. Hamed too. as long as coloreds are acting clownish, it's OK to give them money.

If you try to explain than Joe had decent power ok, i dont agree but i can understand but if you are trying to say he was very good or great puncher you are delusional.

 

This video never gets old, imo. It is exactly how Joe's career will be remembered outside of England and a perfect rebuttal to every poster saying he would KO a true ATG in a hypothetical fight.

(According to a lot of ESB posters, Slappy has a 100% KO rate in hypothetical fights.)

eubank and hamed could play a crowd but trying to bring colour into this is pointless. maybe your culture is different in the US but this is not true in britain, brits like a good fighter and a good personality regardless of colour.

i wouldn't even say that calzaghe had huge fanbase untill after the lacy fight and then he got a couple of big crowds in cardiff for the manfredo and kessler fights.

to the average man on the streets, the likes of bruno, hatton, and eubank have always been a bigger draw than calzaghe.

i'm not making any opinion on joes power, i'm asking why a fighter with supposedly no power can outbrawl all his opponents and force them to do all the holding in a fight, hopefully you will give me a decent answer?
