well....lets just hope calzaghe never gets in the ring with Haye, no joke....there's a very good chance he might die

And that's no slight on Joe mind, but asking him to fight a much bigger, much stronger, much more powerful fighter is a bit rich considering he was never one for fighting the best guys who were actually the same size as him anyway. This would never happen, but if it did it would be an unfair mismatch due to size. The only lhw I would ever fancy to beat a top heavy was RJJ (even though he didn't, he only beat Ruiz, but I think RJJ could've beaten a better fighter that night, he was excellent. Joe has neither the foot speed nor the skills nor most importantly the punch power to be able to achieve this).

    you make some good points

I too believe Haye would just be too powerful for Calzaghe

but I dropped the thread to just see what people think

I too also believe that Enzo Macc would be too powerful and KO Calzaghe too

I agree, Enzo would beat Joe at cruiser. LHW to cruiser is a big jump, and Joe isn't even a natural LHW. Did you read in this month's Boxing Monthly that Enzo Mac said he could get down to lhw?? Now that would be interesting.

I don't think he could afford B-Hop, who will probably retire after losing to Pavlik anyway. Have you seen much of Jonathan Banks? Are you confident?

    aint seen much of him

however I am just a observer

    the real question is

    is Enzo confident?

will there be any mental damage there after a devesating 2nd round KO loss?

Calzaghe was off balance and was not hurt for a second. haye would win just because he would be so strong but it wouldn't be a blowout, all Joe knows how to do it win, it wooulld be competative

    No bud it wouldn't

    Joe can not hurt haye

Haye is probably one of the most detructive hitters in the world today, plus haye is weighing at least 210 at cruiserweight come fight time?

Calzaghe would only be maybe 180 :patsch he gets murderd

Ya....Your probably right, the weight diference would be huge. Joe C has a great chin but would probably be KO'd. I just think he could slip those hayemakers for a few rounds and get in close and do maybe a bit of work on him.
